Kenny B
OK, I ordered a club... maybe 2 clubs; oh all right 3 clubs!! They are coming from 2nd Swing in Minnesota by FedEX. Here's their itinerary: Friday 4pm - Picked up by FedEX Saturday noon - Left St. Paul, MN Saturday 11pm - Glendive, MT Monday 3am - Missoula, MT Tuesday 6pm - Missoula, MT Wednesday 5am - Troutdale, OR Scheduled for delivery Thursday. Clearly, Missoula is a FedEX hub since my clubs spent 39 hours there. Apparently, Troutdale is a hub since my clubs went right through my town and 200 miles down the Columbia River only to come back today for delivery tomorrow. My clubs were less than 1/4 mile from my house at midnight last night! ole gray, Golfspy_CG2, cksurfdude and 2 others 5 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

My clubs were less than 1/4 mile from my house at midnight last night! I've heard similar stories. Shows how much I know about distribution. I was under the impression that every next day fed ex package was sent to Memphis. every night at around 11PM, then sorted and sent on planes to every other destination. But thinking about it logically now, I guess that would be impossible for some 350 flights or whatever it would be to leave Memphis all within a couple hour span. of course I guess yours was probably Fed Ex Ground and those are obviously handled differently. MDGolfHacker When did all of these multiple graduations start. Yesterday, a bud of mine went to his grandson's graduation from pre-school. When I was a youngster, the only graduation was from high school. At the end of any other year, one only looked at the final report card to see if they were promoted to the next grade. I knew a couple of guys that were glad such was the case because people would ask why weren't they at the graduation. In a way I view it almost like participation trophies, something that was concoted by some parents group to allow them to brag about little johnny moving on from kindergarten!! Like you said, back in the day, we just got the report card that said now eligible for 3rd grade or 5th grade or something of the sort. No offense to the parents who are enjoying this, it's just a different world these days in a lot of regards i guess. Ok, I'll use the same space to rant about a similar thing. What's with getting a graduation (high school) announcement from the daughter of a long distance friend that I've never met the child. The friend is a good one and someone I think highly of, but haven't actually seen in almost 20 years. But I got a graduation announcement from her daughter. I'm wondering if she was like...."mom who is this guy in Maryland and why am i sending him a announcement?" Ok enough ranting. tony@CIC
Fedex suxs!! Nothing but trouble & hassle with them. I've turned down buying stuff from places that use em. Had an interesting episode with them. Ordered an area rug from Wayfair. Tracking (fedex) shows it will be delivered at my house on Friday - ok cool. The FedEx truck normally gets here late afternoon. Hmm no delivery so I go back on line and now it shows being held for customer pickup (60 miles away). So I call fedex no response, call Wayfair and they said their freight team will get right on it. They did call back and said fedex doesn't have a truck big enough to to deliver it but I can drive out and pick it up. WTF! A very long story short it took another 2 1/2 weeks and many hours spent on the phone with Wayfair before it was finally delivered by a home delivery truck that was no bigger than the fedex truck. FYI this was a 9x12 rug. MDGolfHacker I graduated HS in '87 and we had 6th grade graduation, and HS of course. My kids' school does kindergarten because they really emphasize 1st grade being the first year of "real" school- no naps/snacks and when they start participating in awards for grades and even start Accelerated Reader. It's their way to say "you're big girls and boys now". They share the ceremony with 6th, so the little ones get the idea of the significance. I actually think it's a good idea. ole gray
Make sure you get the correct shaft size or you will be back here ranting again. Yea I'm pretty sure it is the 370 tip for hybrids and I have one that I am bird dogging at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-NEW-Uncut-SILVER-Matrix-Ozik-hX3-White-Tie-Regular-Flex-Shaft-41-370-/201930078648?hash=item2f03f879b8:g:v1MAAOSwK6RZH5Fg I read the reviews on here about the Matrix white tie hybrid shafts and it was mentioned as a bit whippy however I like my cream whipped.
