PUMA Ingite Disc Premium 17-1-2.jpg

Just in---yesterday anyway, is the flagship shoe in the 2017 PUMA lineup. Retail price $200 beginning 2/1/17.

Also available:

  • TITANTOUR IGNITE DISC ($180)
  • IGNITE SPIKELESS SPORT DISC ($140) Last year's was stupid comfortable. I expect more of the same this year.
  • PUMA BLAZE DISC (Women - $120)
  • PUMA GRIP SPORT JR. DISC ($80)

Initial thoughts: Great shoe. Immediately comfortable. I suspect it's good to go out of the gate, which is why I'll be wearing it at Lake Nona next week.

If I can avoid it, I'll never play golf in a non-disc/BOA shoe again.

2 questions for you.

1.  Is the disc free floating or attached to the shoe?  Most pictures I've seen show it on the side of the shoe, but yours shows on top.

2.  Do you know what the difference between the Ignite Premium vs Ignite is?

Disc is attached not free floating.

One difference between the premium and the regular is that with the premium, the disc is on top. The rest is materials and maybe construction. I'll look into it a bit more.

I have a pair of Footjoy dna with the boa (heel mounted) and I've never had problems with them coming undone or anything.

Cool, but they could use an accent color or something to make them pop.

Tried lots of different socks - Nike, FJ, and every other brand from the big box golfing stores. So far the best and most comfortable wearing brand for me has been Hanes which come in an XL size at half the price of the name brands. 4 for 11.

I bought a pair sight unseen, missed this thread...

They are extremely comfortable, but they are not the same as the 4 other pairs of Titantour Ignites i have (all last years model)

They are a bit wider (a definite plus) but I can't get the BOA quite tight enough... there is just too much slack in the wires....

The other thing is, these shoes SQUEAK.... and I mean like i need WD40 on my feet... its ridiculous... and its LOUD.

i am hoping this dissipates as they break in, but HOLY HELL its awful.... almost enough to send them back or toss them if I can't send them back.... ALMOST, they are too damn comfortable

I had a pair of last seasons BOA ignites which were incredible, but just ran too narrow for my foot. How do you like the BOA on the tongue instead of the side? I tried some ADIDAS TOUR360 BOOSTS with the BOA on the tongue and it was very uncomfortable to walk in as it made the tongue very stiff. Curious to hear your thoughts on these issues after you get some more time in them.

I have never had a BOA shoe before, so honestly i can't compare for you..  but I don't think it makes them to stiff (now all I am going to think about is whether my shoes are too stiff there, great, maybe it will keep my mind off my awful swing)

These are definitely wider than the others I have, or at least feel.  its a little longer as well...  Last years lace 10 fit me as well as any shoe ever has, but this shoe is a litter roomier.  not enough that I should be in a 9.5, but definitely not the perfect fit of the others
