Emteesee
I can vouch for the Vice Pro+. Friend started using them a couple of years ago. We both found them to be the longest balls we had hit with enough bite on the greens. As someone else mentioned, however, they do seem to scuff easily. Still a great ball for the price. This year I couldn't pass up a deal for NXT Tours for $9.00 per dozen and got 5 dozen. I scrolled through this topic and only found a couple of references to them. I don't have a whole lot of experience with them; I got them because I'm high-spin and they are supposed to take a little off when swinging the long clubs. Anyone out there like these things or do they roll out too much on the greens? DuncanFLA
I received a box of Wilson/Staff 50 at work last year for a birthday gift, and played them... Not Bad! However, I found that Strata BOOM! (Callaway product) and Strata SMASH (Callaway product) are equally long balls and a bit cheaper. How about a list of WORST GOLF BALLS EVER??I would have to place NITRO brand at the top of the list. 00sportsman
I once had a grizzled old golfer tell me that if you're playing bogey golf or worse, play whatever ball you find. My brother shot his lowest score ever, 83, using Nitro balls (orange!) that he picked up for $4.99/dozen at KMart. Previous week it was a 97 with Pro V's that he got as a gift. WeekendWarrior
So I usually play Callaway Chrome soft and soft x, have so for the last year. I bought two sleeves of the Srixon Z Star XV today and played a full round with those. All I can say is WOW. I was shocked how they performed. Checked up way better then the chrome soft, seemed to pop off my driver better. I was leaving chips 10 short because of how well they were checking on the greens. Will definitely be buying some more once I run out of Chrome Softs.
