I'm reading a lot of people using Pure grips, and I've never even looked into those guys. I think it may be time to start.

I had a chance to tour the Pure factory a couple of years ago.  I had a DTX grip on my driver for a year, and liked it a lot.  I still prefer the Iomic grips, but Pure runs a close second.

I tried them and did not like them, they felt like I was holding a marshmallow. I would buy 1 and try it.

The stock White/black/red line does it for me. It would be cool if they were customizable though.

If u or u have a good club maker try rib sticks. Takes years of installing them to get good at it but, they turn any grip of choice into the Align grip.

Yeah the plus 4s are too big and squishy for my taste. Midsize grips with only one wrap are just fine for me. I just put the classic MCC aligns on my driver, 3 wood, and hybrid and love it. Seriously thinking about sticking them on my irons too.

MCC +4. Put them on the wedges to see how the bigger bottom helped with gripped down shots. Liked them so I put them on my woods. Liked them there so I put them on the irons. Love them.

I've always been an active hands player. I use an overlap grip. Whether it was mental or real, the +4 grips seemed to just slow down my hands enough that my ball flight straightened out a bit - was a drawer. Curve on the ball is softer.

Are you still able to comfortably play the face open or shut with your wedges? I play plain grips on my wedges because they allow me to adjust my grip freely.

Yeah. I only open the 60 though. I play the 54 square, always. No issues with he 60, have played shots where the face is basically pointing at the sky, no issues.

Best thing aboit the +4 grips on the wedges is that those handsy half wedge shots go left less often. The thicker lower half of the grip really help with grip down shots. Same with longer clubs, 3/4 8 iron for a controlled approach, no more lefts.

... It is always interesting too see things come back around. When I started playing it seemed every grip had a reminder and it was one of the reasons I played Tour Velvet round's because I had a pretty strong grip and a reminder was difficult to get perfect on every club. So I couldn't play a reminder as my hands have 35 years of experience with a round grip. Interesting to see the MCC Align's promoted as something new:

ALIGN Technology now available in this hybrid grip is the first with a raised ridge, assisting hand alignment to square the clubface and improve your swing consistency.

You have to love the marketing BS and admire the pluck of passing off grip ridges as new thing.

Actually, I found out I liked the alignment ridge because I found an old rusted gap wedge on the range back in high school that has always been one of my best clubs. It had a grip with an alignment ridge and it always gave me so much confidence. When I purchased my new set this summer I went for the aligns across the board except my SW and LW (standard rounds).

I'm pretty classy just some tour velvets and I'm good to go! read that Hogan had a big ridge underneath the grip. Kind of want to try it but scared to waste any money.

You could just try the metal wire approach to see how you like the feel. With a little elbow grease, I bet you can do it yourself.

Try one of the align grips on your wedges and driver to see how you like them. If you do then put them all on. If you don't, you're out only $20-25

Have to agree with getit. A metal wire bends pretty easily and the cost of putting on a single test grip is cheap.

Put the align grip on an iron you happen to hit the most at your home course. Part of the reason my GW gave me so much confidence was that grip just felt right in my hands.

Just remember that if you play with loft on any adjustable clubs then you won't want aligns on that club.

Yeah I leaned that the hard way when I regripped my driver a few months back.

Good way to make sure you putting an over-strong or over-weak grip on the club  :D

I'm a grip slut. I re-grip myself.

I like most of the but I do have a favorite few. Winn dri-tac is definitely at the top but they don't last very long may be a couple of months on the wedges.

Lamkins are also good and easiest to clean and maintain. Not as premium "feel" as Winn but very consistent. I picked up a few of the torsional control model it has the best feel and control. Too bad they don't make them anymore. They also make the best fullcord grip.

Golfpride are pretty awesome I want to try the "align" version next. I don't really like the one that came stock on my callaway pm grind wedge, it's a bit too smooth and lack texture.

I grip my club very light so I need very tacky grip or very rough like fullcord. It also serves as a warning sign, if I start to feel the texture digging in to my finger, I know I grip it too hard. I don't like tour wrap type grip because it feels weird for me moving my grip up and down.
