Peanut05
Winter hopefully has finally gotten out of here for the most part. Maybe a few more cold days ahead, but not like what we've already had. Now if the rain would get out of here, that would be great. I played this past weekend, but it was extremely wet on most of the course. I'm ready for summer to go ahead and move its way down here. sixcat
I'm hoping this is the final push of winter weather. We are having 55 MPH sustained winds since late yesterday afternoon that is supposed to continue through tomorrow afternoon. Given the amount of rain we have had over the past few weeks, trees are down all over and power is out in most areas. We have several trees down in our neighborhood. One, directly across the street from my driveway missed the back of my car by a few feet.

TheWahoo
Today's weather on the East Coast best described by this title by Carrie https://youtu.be/pJgoHgpsb9I?t=3 Most mornings, my commute is to get on the Chesapeake Bay bridge and then get off the bridge. As is typical on high wind days, empty 18 wheelers were prohibited, but this morning one lane of the two lane east bound was closed due to windy conditions. Obviously, they wanted everyone crossing in a single lane due to the wind. But some fools just thought that traffic was too slow and used the closed lane to pass. Kenny B
I can't believe it! After high winds the last week or two, the next 5 days are mid-50's and winds less than 10mph. I smell spring coming around the corner. Since I am on the west coast, maybe this warming trend will move to the midwest in a few days. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
STUDque
I really wanted to go play in this insane wind today but I ended up with more work to do than a normal Friday. It would've made for some great tracers and long drives. Oh well. Most of the next month should be pretty windy until the leaves grow back on the trees so I'll try to give it another shot. Don't even drive your car in it.Being out near the water, our springs can be pretty darn windy. Usually our first few matches of the golf league are windy and cold....real nice for the handicap. I'm a low 40's guy for 9 holes and won my first match last year with a 53. It was nuts. How do you play in it? Don't care about your score. Just play for the experience and fun. I've hit a few "S" shaped balls thanks to super wind. I frankly have no idea how the guys do it at The Open..... it's just a totally different type of golf. HardcoreLooper
We had a sign blow off of a local Taco Bell and out into the road. I'll play in lots of ridiculous conditions (like below freezing) and I don't mind a wind that's a few clubs, but I'm not down with playing when tree limbs and signage are projectiles.
