Pretty much every tournament does split tees. It is a timing thing. You will hear them refer to the morning and afternoon times. There is approximately a 2.5 hour gap between the last group in the morning and the first group in the afternoon. When the afternoon groups start that are falling behind the groups that are playing their back nine. Hope that makes sense. Look at the tee times for a round and you will see this gap.

This soft course is allowing some shorter hitters to keep up. Like Mize and Langer shooting good scores. Much easier to hold the greens with the much longer clubs they hit in. Likely will get harder as things dry out and length with matter again, and of course most of the players at the top hit the ball plenty far.

Understandable. I miss the fans as well, but for some reason I like seeing Augusta in all its glory without the fans.. seems so peaceful. The commentary doesn't bother me so much, it was just a nice change of pace yesterday morning hearing all the sounds.

Oh man, is she dropping every cliché in the world.  "he's unbeatable when he's putting great"  And she is obviously reading a description of the holes when she is doing her "analysis" of it on the flyover.  you can tell by the verbiage, it just doesn't sound like things a tour player would say.  More like the helpful hints you read in a yardage book.

Ok, I won't turn this into a MW bashing thread, but she actually just said on Cantlay's putt.  "Watch how this picks up speed as it turns left"   That is of course different from putts that turn uphill and gain speed

I think it's refreshing to have Wie on the stream.... it's def not easy and there is a lot of pressure to perform (even as an analyst) at the Masters but it's nice that they took the chance and added a female voice in the mix. 

Really like Dottie Pepper but she's only on broadcast television.
