Nayrrenrag 0
Playing in Florida and sweating profusely has left me having to wash my hats after every round. Any suggestions on hats that won’t show sweat or products to lower sweat stains? I know Melin has a bit of a cult following but wanted to get other ideas before possibly shelling out $70. Any and all ideas are welcome! Middler 3,588
Never had that problem so I haven’t tried them but FWIW search (golf) hat sweat liners - lots of choices from a couple bucks to next to nothing per. And of course medium to dark hats don’t show sweat stains like white hats do (until they dry?). 2 Quote Callaway Rogue 10.5° & 3W Mizuno CLK 3H 19°, JPX900 Forged 4-GW, S18 56.10, S18 60.06 Evnroll ER5B Fit@TrueSpec ER2 Maxfli Tour Snell MTB-Black Ping Pioneer - MGI Zip Navigator AT Link to comment

If you are sweating that much, I think it's just more hygienic to do a quick wash... I just grab them by the bill, tunk them 5 times in soapy water, rinse and hang. Takes 3 minutes max. And with such temperatures, they'll be dry by the following day. 2 1 Quote SpeedZone 9* w/ Aldila Rogue Silver 60 S X2 Hot 3 Deep 14.5* w/ Aldila Tour Green 75 S JetSpeed 5W 19* w/ Matrix Velox T 69 S OR Super LS 3H 19* w/ Kuro Kage Black 80 S JPX919 Forged 4-PW w/ Modus3 105 S Vokey SM7 50/08F, 54/14F & 58/08M w/ Modus3 115 Wedge ER1 34" w/ SuperStroke Fatso 2.0 Pro / H2NO Lite Cart Bag / 3.0 / NX7 Pro LRF My reviews: MLA Putter // Titleist SM7 // PING i500 // PuttOUT Link to comment

Headhammer 3,245
If you find one let me know! When I was younger my much older BIL used to say "how is it 90* out here and I'm drenched and you don't have a drop of sweat on you?" Now that I'm his age, I sweat profusely on the range and during a round, to the point I ring my hats out when I get done! So far I have never found a hat that doesn't get sweat stains all over them. Again, If you find one, I'll buy 10 of them! 1 1 Quote Driver: Speed Zone 9* HZRDUS Smoke Yellow Shaft 3 Wood: King Speedzone 13.5* HZRDUS Smoke Black Shaft 2 & 3 Hybrids: Speedzone Recoil 480 ESX Shaft Irons: Speedzone 5-GW Recoil 460 ESX Shafts Wedges: PM Grind 54* & 58* Putter: Dual Force Rossi II Ball: Whatever I find in the woods HCP:18 Link to comment
Kenny B 33,427
It's so hot and dry here that I sweat and it evaporates quickly. Stains do happen though, but hey aren't so bad when I keep my hat wet all day. I soak it at the clubhouse before the 1st tee, and then again at each water jug on the course... tees on #5, 8, 13, and 16. The icy water feels good on our 100+ degree days. The hat is almost dry before the next water jug. 2 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.” Link to comment

RollingGreens 2,359
Imperial hats are very good quality. I also like to generic titleist hats. The white and gray are really easy to clean. Pandaman 279
Check out some of the Tilley offerings. Not all fabrics will do what you want though. I have one I love, the brim keeps the sun off my ears and the rain off my neck. Quote Link to comment

I use them in all of my hats here in Colorado. However, I just got back from a trip to the MS Gulf Coast where it was 100+ and very humid. It was completely saturated with sweat within minutes, was uncomfortable to wear, and fell out eventually because it was so heavy. Unless you want to change them out every few minutes, I wouldn't recommend them in Florida. 1 Quote Driver: TS2 8.5* Project X EvenFlow T1100 White 65 (6.5) Woods: Turner H-2 3W, 5W, 7W Aldila NV 65 Stiff Irons: King F8 6i - PW Steelfiber i110 Stiff Wedges: RTX 3 50*, 54*, 60* Steelfiber i110 Stiff Putter: Futura 5W Bag: C-130 Cart bag Ball: MTB-X Rangefinder: NX7 Pro Tracker: ShotScope V2 Link to comment
scott80109 27
I'd probably try a fishing hat from Costa or Huk. Maybe the straw hats with wide brims. They keep you cooler with the extra shade they provide, are generally pretty breathable, and the straw won't really absorb sweat or show stains.
