It was tough.  We played from the red tees because my son is 8 and I am not good.  It was a great day but my son gave out on 15 because they didn’t any candy on the food cart.  Some things are immutable and an 8 year old needs M & M’s.  I doubt I get to play very many Jack Nicklaus designed courses so I really wanted to play this one.  The people were great but we should have bought a big thermos for water before the round.  The drink cart just didn’t make it around often enough for us.

If you have the opportunity to play it do.  Fairways are narrow and there is no recovery from an errant shot.  And it was glorious.

 

Reservations made through Golf Now app.  $175 for me and $70 for my son but I had to set up my son when I got there to get the jr rate.

Looks like a great time was had! Nothing beats getting out to enjoy a round with children. My soon to be 6 year old loves to golf and we are counting down the days until the season is back here in Wisconsin.

Honestly, my son loves all sports.  Today he hit a shot from about 75 yards out to about 10’ from the pin.  That and his 15’ 1 put pretty much sealed the deal, I think.  Chasing that feeling keeps us coming back and my son got it three times today
