GolfSpy_APH
It starts tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited for it. Have a lot hinging on the draft for dynasty teams and so on. The draft is one of my favorite parts of the season and although there is likely to be little to no surprise with the first pick it should be an entertaining night with some great prospects! GolfSpy_KFT
I am quite intrigued by the draft this year for the Packers for sure. Last year EVERYTHING was focused around "the Packers are gonna suck" "get ready for the dark ages" "Jordan Love won't be good" etc. We also really didn't seem to have many offensive weapons and then last year happened. I feel great about the WR and TE positions, great about the interior defensive line. If Cooper De Jean is there at 25, I would love to see them draft him as depth in the secondary is always an issue for GB. He's a natural corner, but I think there's been some talk he could potentially slide to the safety position to pair with Xavier McKinney. I was disappointed they let Darnell Savage walk, so that spot is a priority in my book. They could also use an ILB or edge rusher for some added depth with the new defensive scheme, and need some depth on the offensive line. Traditionally they have done well drafting OL positions in the mid rounds and finding solid prospects, but if there's a great Tackle left at 25 that's also a good pick. Should be a fun draft to follow! doodlegolf, ejgaudette, ZJeb67 and 4 others 7 Quote Driver: DARKSPEED X 9* Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6X (Currently Testing) Fairways: Aerojet Max 3W & 7W MCA Kai'Li White 60 Stiff Hybrid: King TEC 3H MCA MMT 85g Stiff Irons: Aerojet 6-GW KBS $-taper Lite Stiff Wedges: Snakebite Black 52/56/60 Hi-Rev 2.0 Black Stiff Putter: Super Select Newport 2.0 Ball: Tour X & ProV1x #LeftyGang Cobra 50th Anniversary Member Special Challenge (link here) Unofficial FootJoy Hyperflex BOA 2023 Review Unofficial Flightscope Mevo Review

ejgaudette
Pats have big decisions to make and I am terrified of them all. @GolfSpy_KFT we are hearing all the same things but I am fairly confident no matter who we take next year will be rough again and if we get very lucky maybe in year 2 if we get the QB in this draft things will move in the right direction. DeJean seems like a dynamic player that would be a good fit given Green Bay's needs. ILMgolfnut
I'm in Detroit now, leaving town this evening just as things start to ramp up for the draft. There was a welcome desk for incoming draft fans last night at my hotel, and there are NFL Draft signs all over the place. I'm a Packer fan too, dating back to the Lombardi/Titletown era (yes I'm old enough to remember the Ice Bowl). Have my one share of Packers stock which is completely worthless. I tell people I own as many shares of an NFL team as my fellow Arkansas graduate Jerry Jones. Only his share is worth $9 billion or so and mine is worth zilch. ZJeb67
In High School I dreamed of playing in the NFL. Only had a few division III schools interested. Ended up going to a Division I school and decided concentrate on studies instead of attempting to walk on. Played a couple years of college/club level Rugby which I enjoyed but definitely couldn't keep up at the bar after matches. For players that get to that level I wish them great success, future health and hopefully a wonderful 2nd career after. JeremyD
As a lifelong Patriots fan, I've cheered the one win seasons and of course the 6 super bowl wins, but the last few years have been disappointing to say the least. It'll be interesting to see if they do draft someone at 3, or do like they used to do and trade away one first round pick for a dozen in later rounds. the NFL can be such a crap shoot that some guys drafted at 199 in the 6th round, for example, can be great and others drafted high in round 1 stink from the jump. Either way, I'll be paying attention. ejgaudette 1 Quote When my wife asked if I wanted to leave Maine and move to where she grew up, I couldn't say no to Pinehurst, NC. Michael.Sandoval33
As a lifelong, die-hard Raiders fan. I am cautiously optimistic about this year's draft. Or GM is coming over from the Chargers and he had a lot of great picks over there in San Die...errrr Los Angeles. But, our spot is kind of middling. The only QB I could see falling to us would be Penix and while I like Penix, I am not 100% on him.
