Our main golf group is 4 ppl..1 plays all Titleist with the T-350s, 1 plays all TM with the Stealth HDs, 1 plays all Callaway with the Smokes, and I play PXG.. Of course lots of trying out others clubs goes on lol

How's everyone finding the ball flight with these irons? Is it more on the high, mid-high, or low side? Also, how workable are the clubs for shaping shots?

Sry @Lefty11, had an extremely busy weekend and just now looking over comments that I missed.. Can't speak for the other two gentlemen but from my experience is u aren't gonna open the box and go to work with these clubs..Well, I didn't anyway..had to get use to the feel and the oversize grips and longer shafts..after 20+ holes it came together! They are a "players iron" iron in a "game improvement" body! Hitting beautiful fades and high draws with them..not necessarily on command every time bc I'm not @GolfSpy AFG but u put them in hands better than mine and if they could get over the thick CB they would love this iron! The sweet spot is like hitting a pillow..haven't had another feeling like it on the course

Forgot to mention..the ball flight for me has been mid-high.. Nothing crazy but plenty for stopping power on the greens..still gotta get numbers on a SIM but I think the xcor2's might have their hands full after what I seen today.. Only time will tell

First impressions coming today…..(pretty, pretty, pretty good).

I want to thank PXG and MGS for their outstanding customer service. They have read about my struggles (I know the problem is me, not the Black Ops!!) and offered to have my fitter do a fit check, on Monday.

Very impressed on how important customer satisfaction is to both PXG and the leads at MGS.

I am 100% confident that I will continue to see improvement as I go forward. Thank you to this community for your support.

These tests we get to do are very important for the OEM, but also our readers. I use this site to determine what I should and shouldn’t try. I hope all of you do the same.

Update coming later today!

That's awesome that they're going to do a fit check for you next week. Hope it goes well and they can sort out what's going on.

I'm feeling a little nervous about my round today. My knee has been acting up a bit this morning. Going to try to stretch it out throughout the day. Still going to give it a go but willing to accept if I have to call it after 9 holes.

20240828_184358.jpg.f3e8d0d737f4d294516fe4f678018be5.jpg

Was able to get the full 18 in today. Turned out to be a beautiful day! Had some great shots and some not so great shots. Overall, shot a 93 which is a good score for me. I feel like I'm making some good progress with the accuracy of my drives which I think is what is behind some of my improvements. Had a killer PW shot from 100 yards out which left me about 3 ft from the hole!20240828_153957.jpg.379f3f2cd233aef89e5871ee669c8343.jpg

I also holed out from a chip which I don't remember the last time I holed out! These clubs certainly seem to have a lot of stopping power on the green. When you have a perfect shot coming into the green, the ball just drops and sticks. Had to fix a few divets on the greens today.20240828_152256.jpg.271a5124b4a297ab69960c4ed7220a04.jpg

Overall, my irons were a mixed bag. The irons that I'm hitting well are great. I'm struggling with the 5i as you can see from these comparisons. On back to back holes, I had a 5i only go 141 yards then on the next hole, I hit my 7 iron 146. As you can see from the comparisons, I'm really hitting my 9i, PW, and GW well. My GW is becoming my favorite wedge around the green. But pretty much all the other irons are hit or miss. I'm somewhat disappointed on one of my 5i shots. I felt like I hit it well and it just clipped a palm tree. I did have my longest 5i shot so far with the Black Ops, hitting one 173 yards. Screenshot_20240828_212315_GarminGolf.jpg.b21cf8aee8b653a1e81f93bfbc595326.jpg

Hopefully I can get some stats to you all this week. I have a Swing Caddie SC300 on the way! Happy to hear from anyone with experience with the SC300.

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend and was able to get some golf in. I had a tee time scheduled for this morning but my knee is acting up again after my run yesterday. I've been icing it off and on today and stretching it. I'm going to try to get in 9 holes later this week and a full 18 next week, as well as some home practice time with the net and SC300.

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Just got the sc200 in today.. Hopefully can get some numbers up pretty quick.. Take care of that knee, hard to golf from a wheel chair, although it can be done!

Testers. It would be helpful to me if you would bag both the Black Ops and your current 7 irons on your rounds. I realize that not all swings will always be equal:). It would make for a good comparison.

I currently game 0211 DC irons and am curious as to the differences.

Thanks!

As soon as it dries I will put the 0211 xcor2 up against the Black Ops.. My launch monitor won't give u spin rates but will give u some numbers to compare!

Great day at the course! My driving game had been suffering for almost a year and it finally came back to me..I put the Sim2 up 3 round ago and pulled out the old PXG 0211 and twerked my shot a little and like magic, I went from 220s consistent to 260+ consistent! The black ops showed out again today with nice mid- high ball flights and 10+ yards longer than my xcor2 irons would play.. @USMCSnyper hit my first draw with my 7 iron today, so can't say I've never done that before anymore.. Just stared at it for what felt like 5 min wrapping my mind around what happened lol.. Was a great day all in all though!

Curious to how you feel about it. I haven't liked any of the hybrids I've gotten from PXG so far. I haven't liked how they look at address and they've seemed to just die in the air. I'd hit one and feel like it was a solid it, only to find it dropped short.
