Thanks everyone for the well wishes on the car. I talked to the dealership on the way home and the total damage is estimated to be $770. I was relieved because I googled the average cost and it was around $1200. My wife in the other hand... We had to bring out the paddles to revive her as she about died. I'm planning on gathering the fuel receipts once I get my car back and I'm thankful I'm chaos in always just throwing them in the cubbies in the car instead to getting rid of them like a responsible adult.
@Erin B you have some beautiful pups, I love weenie dogs. They're loveable, stubborn, and big time grifters. They're to smart for their own good.

I’m sorry to hear the car news @sirchunksalot. Hoping for better word on the horizon.
Really cool pics @GolfSpy_APH! Safe travels.
It’s a busy workday ahead as I prepare to leave Thursday for a golf trip. Cannot wait. Here’s to hoping my lower back can tolerate five days of golf in a row. And the new-to-me LAB putter arrives today to break up the monotony, which is exciting to only me.
I got my pre-trip/pre-season club work done yesterday. It was fun reshafting a wedge, adjusting some swingweights on other wedges, and generally dialing things in. It’s amazing to me how much an extra 1/2” of shaft length affects swingweight, and how manufacturers and most fitters do nothing to counteract its effects when you order clubs that way.
I hope all here have super Tuesdays!
I hope you enjoy your golf trip and play well during those five days! I'm also looking forward to hearing about how well you get on with the LAB putter.
@Rob Person just hearing about your thumb makes mine ache, hopefully the loss of the nail will be painless.

24 minutes ago, Northern Monkey said:@sirchunksalot sorry to hear you’ve got landed with the repair costs. Have you managed to get anywhere with being able to claim from the filling station if it is down to the fuel?
I haven't, I'll have to find my receipts which I do keep... In my car and I need to research how to file a claim.
The one thing I'm thankful for is that I'm the 10+ years I've been leasing, I haven't had to come out of pocket much. I had to purchase a new tire this year and had a couple of minor damage charges. My major concern right now is this not fixing the problem but the good things is, I only need 400 more miles before being able to order another one.

Good morning everyone on a rainy morning in SE TN!
It's going to be a little bit of a longer day at work as I have a class to attend this evening. I think I'd rather be going home on time.
I found out yesterday I'm responsible for the car repairs, the lease center does not cover them. I haven't asked how much they are with the dealership yet and am not looking forward to that conversation.
@GolfSpy_APH thanks for sharing the photo of the Vice table, that's a pretty cool display.
I hope you all have a great day!

Sincerely hope your golf trip is fun and fulfilling. May the price you pay, not have a severe hidden cost added by your family’s female leader.I'm hoping you can get out and play again on Friday. Having to take an extended break from golf is torture and I hope the suffering from the lack thereof is over for you later this week.

@rkj427 congratulations on your last Monday at work! I can imagine it will be difficult to know what to do since you've been in the workforce for a while. Hopefully you'll be able to play lots of golf, sounds more time volunteering for Leader Dogs, and attending auto shows. I was thinking about you Saturday as I was driving home from having my car detailed. I drive through downtown and we had a car show happening. I only saw part of it and one of the coolest things I saw was a golf cart that was modified to look like a 57 Chevy. I wish I could have taken a photo but was driving responsibly.
@jbern I'm glad you had a good vacation!

It's Monday my friends and the start to a new work week, let's make it a good one. It's going to be a short week for me as I'm taking off Friday for an extended weekend for my wife's birthday.
@TJ HallI'm glad you had a good birthday and you'll love the Mevo.
@GolfSpy_APH enjoy your fitting and it'll be interesting to see what you come out of it with.
@Dead Solid Bogey it's awesome you got to see the Stones in concert, I bet it was a great show!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I didn't a little time on the range today mainly focusing on staying connected with partial wedge shots. The short game has been a bit off lately and I wanted to see if I could make better contact and have better control on those in between shots.
I was making crisp contact and seeing fewer left misses by staying connected through the swing and letting my body do the work.
My longer clubs need some work, once I got longer than 7 iron, it all went downhill. I actually erased my 5 wood shots from the Mevo since I didn't have a single solid strike.
My driver was just ok, I only had 1/5 shots that would not have been playable.
I still need to work on strike as the SS and carry distance aren't where they need to be.

I'll usually show up between 30-60 minutes before teeing off. I like taking time to loosen up and will hit a small bucket on the range to get a feel of how my ball striking is going to be that day.
I also like to roll some putts on the practice green and see where my speed needs to be. If I go to a course without a range, I like to get out on the pitching and putting greens to get a feel for hitting balls.

Good morning everyone!
It's forecast to be a nice day here and I might have to take a trip to the range later on. I spent some time in the yard yesterday evening working on the feeling of staying connected while chipping and would like to hit some balls to see the results.
My wife and I got out to run some errands yesterday and she picked up a couple of early birthday presents for herself. We had a great time just enjoying each other's company.
@TJ Hall happy birthday, I hope you have a great one!
@GolfSpy_APH @GolfSpy_SHARK enjoy the rounds today and I hope y'all play great!
I hope the rest of you have a wonderful Sunday!

Always liked the look of the Vokey wedges but never actually owned one. After catching part of the community call on Thursday I took a closer look and really loved the look of the SM9 brushed steel.
A quick perusal of my usual haunts on the interweb revealed an ex display one, in my exact specs from the online fitting tool, for £90. Snapped it up and it arrived todaypThere are some very minor marks on the sole but very minimal and apart from that it’s as new. Hopefully I’ll put it into action on the course tomorrow
That's a good looking wedge for the price! I had a set of SM7'S and the 52 became a trusty club around the green. I hope you like it!

We live in Elkhorn, a small suburb to the west of Omaha and the tornado hit Elkhorn hard. We were lucky and missed the direct path by about 1/2 mile. I copied a link from a a company that captured video of the tornado as it passed by. We live about 1/2 mile north of this business and the tornado was traveling due north at this point in time. We came away with no injuries or property damage but my kids have some friends are homeless today. One of them is on the high school baseball team with my son. Just another reminder to not take life for granted and hug those closest to you. Take care everyone and have a blessed day ahead.

I love the Whistling Straits logo, it reminds me of one of the best books I've read.
I would recommend it to anyone who's a fantasy junkie, but I would probably wait about 10 more years since that's about how much longer it's going to take him to finish the last book.
@GolfSpy_APH have to agree on the MGS logo, since I've found it my enjoyment of the game and sharing it with others has vastly improved.

Good morning spies!
So this is what happens when you don't wake up before the roosters, I get up to a lot of posts to read before getting to post.
I was up late last night watching Shogun with the wife and you pair that with doing yard work the past two days and I was pooped. I'm just now drinking my morning coffee and it's only about 90 minutes before my usual work lunch.
Like @Northern Monkey today is going to involve running around town and I also have to take the wife's car to be detailed. At least my wife isn't into designer things and is very frugal.
@GolfSpy_KFT happy birthday to your oldest!
@GolfSpy_APH enjoy your break from work and the time you get with your family, time is a very precious thing and I hope you make some wonderful memories with them.
@BORDO and @ZachN97 welcome to the best forum on the Internet, I hope y'all enjoy hanging out here.
I hope everyone has a great start to the weekend!

11 minutes ago, Northern Monkey said:@sirchunksalot good to hear they sorted the issue with the car and hopefully it won’t be too expensive. Do you know where you got the gas from? Anyway of claiming the cost back from them? Hope it’s back on the road soon
I usually buy my gas at the same station which is about three miles from my house, I tend to like routine and it's the most convenient place for me to stop. I'm hoping it's covered under warranty, I lease from work so the car has only got 7600 miles on it, but I'm not sure if it's a warranty claim or not. They said it's a four hour fix and I'm hoping I'll get it back early next week.

Good morning everyone and happy Friday!
I finally heard something on my car, after I had to reach out to the dealership. They told me the problem was caused by bad gas and they were going to have to clean the lines and replace the fuel pump. They them informed me I needed to make a claim with fleet response which turned into a 30 minute ordeal of answering all kinds of questions causing me to miss the first half of the community call.
The part of the call I got to listen to was great and it made for good listening as I was doing yard work. I got most of it done and I'll finish up the trimming today or tomorrow.
I hope it's a good start to the weekend for y'all!

Forgot to mention, I still have a set of Vokey SM7 wedges that I would probably still be playing if it wasn't for the SnakeBite wedges in my bag.
I almost chimed in on this but... Lawn mower.

I've talked to the insurance and filled a claim, but they told me it wasn't covered by them. I was hoping it would be, but since it's insurance the lease company chose, I'm probably hitting a wall there.
