PokeForeLyfe
Blackstone CC in Aurora, CO. Tough stretch of three holes. This one in particular. Smart play is to layup left off the picture to 130-150 and have a wedge over this draw, but.........Ok I laid up but couldn’t resist dropping a second ball and seeing if I could make the 270 carry to a 278 pin. Rickp
I was fortunate enough to be invited out for a round at my buddy's private course - Franklin Country Club; there is a 5 figure initiation fee to join and it's not exactly cheap from there but my goodness does membership have it's privileges.. One of the nicest ranges I've ever been to. As many Titleist practice balls as you could want, alignment sticks available at every hitting station. The course was immaculate...not a single weed anywhere. The fairways were lush and the greens were amazing. Tough - very tough - but fair and true and smooth as a babies bottom. And they had the fancy-shmancy golf carts with automated tracking and GPS... Whew - i'd never get bored of this place! robertson153
Picture overload here!! This is how I had to spend my weekend. It’s a hard life, but hey, someone has to do it. As you can see there’s a lot of slope once you leave the tee box or off the fairways. Better be accurate with the big dog. That’s me on the far left in gray and black, and that’s my uncle with the tournament trophy. He had to shoot 74-72, course rate of 72.10 and slope of 127. russtopherb
The poor course didn’t know what hit it with me, my son, my brother, and my dad out there!! ETA: This is Little Harbor Country Club here in MA, it's just off the Cape. Not a bad little course, only 2 par 4s but a number of longer par 3s. Definitely one of the nicer executive courses I've been on, even if the greens were slow and fuzzy. Juniors pay their age, which is very cool. My brother is used to "Arkansas golf" and quickly realized hitting low punches up here would result in being 50 yards out, rather than running the ball all the way up to the green LOL! Pin high just to the left of the green from 275 out. Jmikecpa
Yup...Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpySo I am going to preface this with this is not political one bit not meant to stir the pot regarding politics. I don’t care what party you belong to or what you think of our current government. This was a story that was told to me by a friend that is a member at Mr. Trump’s clubs and has done a lot of business with Mr. Trump. The first year that the there was a winner of the Super Senior club championship at Bedminster there actually wasn’t a Super Senior division. Mr. Trump made it to the finals of the senior club championship and lost (I believe it was 2&1) to a gentleman that had just turned 50 that year. Mr. Trump thought that considering his age and that he barely lost there should be a super senior division. Well a few days later a plaque showed up proclaiming Mr. Trump as the winner of the Super Senior club championship that apparently only he had played in. Again this is not to stir up a political discussion just to relay a funny story that was given to me by someone that would have first hand knowledge.
