PUMA GOLF’S ‘PLAY LOOSE’ COLLECTION CELEBRATES THE LAIDBACK VIBES OF COASTAL LIVING AND GOLFING

Today PUMA Golf introduced its ‘Play Loose’ Collection, a head-to-toe assortment of apparel, footwear and accessories inspired by the relaxed vibes of surf culture, designed to bring an element of fun to the golf course that is sure to resonate from coast-to-coast. Rickie Fowler will debut the collection on Thursday at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, overlooking the famous Black’s Beach; he’ll continue to sport threads from Play Loose in South Florida near the beautiful Palm Beaches during the Honda Classic.

Play Loose is inspired by vintage surf style, incorporating a custom coastal design along with subtle golf elements, for a fresh collection that is casual yet refined, with all the performance needed to dominate on course and look effortlessly cool off course.

“This collection provides a fun, laidback approach to traditional golf apparel, delivering a casual style, with easy to wear pieces that are perfect for heading to the golf course, or to a day at the beach.”  said Kristin Hinze, Global Head of Apparel, PUMA Golf.

Being not much of a fashion guy that I am.... these don't really appeal to me. Certainly not at $75/shirt. For years now I  occasionally will wear while playing golf a full button front silk shirt in the summer. I buy them at SteinMart for around $20 bucks. They are cool, loose, and comfortable. I guess I've already been living Puma's "laid back-coastal" golfing lifestyle." Just without the cost and coast. Hmmm? Could it be perhaps that Puma adopted Plaids style. 🏌️‍♂️

My Sun Mountain bag currently includes:   TWGTLogo2.png.06c802075f4d211691d88895b3f34b75.png 771CSI 5i - PW and TWGTLogo2.png.06c802075f4d211691d88895b3f34b75.png PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges

I've been wearing Under Armour coaches shorts at my club for a couple of years now.  Albeit only on weekday afternoons following work.  There is rarely more than a half dozen people on the whole property at 6PM on a random Tuesday.  Nobody has asked me to stop wearing them yet.

I can see where some clubs would frown upon it though.  Mine likely would if I were to wear them at a time that garnered more attention.
