FallenSaber
I feel like I have lots of questions. I'll list my top ones below and see what everyone says. For those who have done test, what equipment have you used to do your test? I don't know where to begin with trying to figure out a way to measure launch angles, spin rates, etc. Whenever I get the opportunity to test, I want to make sure I give a review with the data to back it up. For walkers, what's your favorite shoe? Favorite golf app and why? I'm currently using GolfShots and I just downloaded an app called TheGrint. Favorite golf friendly smart watch? I'm currently old school and rock a mechanical watch. I'm very interested in a smart watch that tracks runs and rounds of golf. Bunkershotbirdie
How about a deep dive into launch monitor numbers? I have a SkyTrak and understand what the numbers are trying to tell me but I don't understand how much of a change in a number is significant, or which numbers are the most beneficial to monitor. I am sure each device may vary in what it is good at and what it is not. Tarheelvolvo, Woody83, vandyland and 1 other

ChitownM2
I'd like to know Tony's opinion on how heavily influenced the results of most wanted testing are impacted by the specific group of testers in a particular year. Also if anything can be done to minimize their impact other than to just have a larger tester pool which I understand becomes logistically impossible. The reason I ask is because if I remember correctly we sometimes see big swings in the results for some clubs. I think one year TSi2 finished as runner up to most wanted and then in it's second year finished middle of the pack behind several of the drivers it had handily beat the year before. Likewise, I think G425 (maybe 410?) finished middle of the road in it's launch year and then won most wanted in it's second year. Results like that make me believe that the testing is just a reflection of the group each year. I love MGS and appreciate the data driven nature behind the testing but at some point it starts to not be any better than the anecdotal methodology of Hot List or similar if one year the group scatters shots all over the face and a higher MOI driver wins and then the next they're wearing a hole in the center and all of a sudden a low spin driver is the best. MacAndrews
For the past week, I've been listening to the 3-6 minute daily messages on an app called Imagine Golf, which focuses on the mental side of golf, including course management. I like the simplicity of it and the reviews are very positive. I'm going to try it for the next year. But it also got me to thinking: does the average golfer actually work on their mental games? My friends (3-15 hc) don't seem to. Most of us can't afford to go to Bob Rotella. There are a ton of relatively inexpensive online programs out there promoting the mental game. There are a ton of books. What are the best resources for working on our mental games? Seems to me, getting out of our own way, whether with a stronger mentality or better course strategy, would be the fastest way to lower our scores and hc.
