It depends on which system you are playing the SIM on. Some of the indoor models have a putting component. In this case, I am playing at a driving range that is equipped with Top Tracer launch monitors. Because it is a driving range, there isn’t an option for putting, so on each hole once you are within 30 yards of the pin it triggers a closest to the pin for 60, 100, or 130 yard shots. You can choose any of those three. Depending on how close you get to the pin on your approach determines how close you need to be to the pin to get a par, Birdie, bogey, etc. on the closest to the pin. I typically use the 60 yard shot. It’s not apples to apples compared to an actual round, but still a good test of golfing skill.

Overall, it was a solid round today.  We had anywhere between 10-14 inches of rain in the Keys on Wednesday with spotty rain on Thursday and Friday.  So, the course was wet and played longer than usual.  Add in about a 20 mph wind and the course was a challenge today!

image.png.e3772d31b0b038d199be536b1d5b99ef.png

A decent driving round as far as fairways hit.  However the lack of roll, yielded shorter drives than I'm accustomed to.  Still, 79% fairways hit is pretty good with a couple of misses only a foot or two into the rough.  The greens in regulations wasn't very good.  My irons really didn't heat up until three-quarters of the way through the round.  Four up and downs are about right and only 26 putts hide most of my iron accuracy issues.  Nine one putts and no three putts really allowed me to score better than I should have.  The two putts I had were also mostly within 1 foot, so my speed was pretty good today.  The extra time I've been spending in my backyard putting green has seemed to help.  I did chip in from the back fringe on our par three 16th hole.  It was the only birdie in the men's league today!

It's strange to see that I averaged whole numbers on my par three, fours and fives today.

Ran into a buzz saw today. In a match and giving 1 shot a side. Hit 14 greens and had 29 putts with two 3 putts. A disappointing 4 bogies offset by 6 natural birdies and 1 net birdie. However, not good enough as the guy I was playing shot 68! Ouch!

Play like a champion today!

Yes, it was the first time he beat me and wow! He is a tall guy hits the ball a mile. He usually gets frustrated because I will put it out there with him. I also hit my irons better. Today we were just trading blows back and forth. In the end he putted better. He is a friend so, I was happy for him. However, I hate losing even more than I enjoy winning!

On a sunny and cool 45 degree day, I was able to play my last round outdoors here in Michigan this year, as the course closes for the season after today.

Played a fourth round with the Titleist test balls, and on the front nine we were behind a foursome that included some females, so rather than waiting to hit into the greens while waiting, hit a lot of wedges short to keep moving along. They only play nine, so more GIR's on the back nine.

Chipped in for a birdie, hit 11 of 14 fairways, and only 31 total putts.

Long drive was 244 yards, and with the course playing soft in the fairways with no roll, happy with that as well.

@Ben Joest, the unlock didn't enable the post score button, so you'll have to add the round into the scoreboard.  Not that I think I'll earn any of the weekly awards, but it does go to getting me out of 15th place for the year...

A truly horrendous round.  Hadn't played in two weeks and was barely 50°, so was pretty stiff.  Ground had soaked up a good amount of rain the day before, so zero rollout.  Sometimes negative carry as the ball would plug, then hop backwards.

Managed to do well on Par 3s, which are usually tough for me.  Pretty much the only place I made net birdies.  Luckily, this course has 4!  Downside is just as I was starting to warm up it got dark.  Finished #15 in deep dusk and gave up.  Took Net Double Bogey on the last three holes.

Well, always next week.

Mmm, I was dealing with a kid in the bath while I was trying to finish the post, but I think a net score of 95 - par of 73 = 22.  Gross to par is 63.  A scratch golfer would have finished two rounds for my one, plus some.
