No.  You can use ios, android or PC. The E6 simulator is on PC or ios.

As for the session I left the video running and just kind of talked all the way through but to save you from the 2 hours of talk and whack f*@$ I dwindled it down to 5 minutes!

I did a full warmup range session hitting 9/8/5/4 irons and then hit 18 holes.

I am noticing myself going left which seems accurate with the cold, I am not very smooth in this video at all. Had a couple over compensations and pushes right (you will see on the last swing with my 4 iron before the round). All said I am not seeing any terrible readings, all seem to make sense. On top of that I had 0 missed shots and I had over 120 shots here.

Most of my other reviews did not do to many videos so bare with me as I hope to get a little more savvy with this!

Great video and information! You've got a nice setup going and I look forward to seeing more videos!

Bad news for me. Wanted to play an E6 round today but when I went out to the FIL shed the heater wasn’t working and it was 31* in there. Luckily I know a thing or 2 about HVAC but the heater needs a new ignition board.  Won’t be here until later in the week so no swings for me until then. 
I do have a winter league round on Tuesday so I’ll be getting some quick comparisons to the full swing sim we are playing on. 
 

Hitting yesterday it was awesome seeing the ball flight but I gotta figure out setup a little better cuz I was seeing a left to right flight which is unusual for me.

Cold, Stiff, and In-door usually leads me to hit some left-to-right balls too. haha

But, I'm also more of a fade player by default, and I think you're a stock draw guy right?

Normally yes I’m a stock draw guy. My swing is very much inside out. Like more inside out than most slicers are out to in. Lol

There was a few missed shots but the biggest issues for me were the flight and reading about a club or more short.

It has been a busy afternoon with work stuff but was able to sit down and jump online to my FlightScope account and check out the data it provides.  I know the guys have been showing the App and what different options are on there, but figured it would be good to see the web access side of things too.

Here is an example of the info you can pull from your sessions.

You can adjust your clubs, pull video if you did any, and get your different sessions.

It was verrrrrry cold today, tent didn’t get much over 30 I don’t think.

Had a swing session and a got a par 3 (18) in with my son and friend (they played 3 holes with the cold lol) and my neighbor, who we ended up alternating shots for the boys.

For how cold it was the swing session was good. After looking at what was going on I never really got over 88 mph swing speed with the 4 iron and everything was 10-20 yards short and was a little all over left and right but not terribly off. I’ll take what came of the session all things considered with how cold it was. 

I swung the PW, 8/6/4 irons. main outliers were the 2 dead pulls on the 4 iron and 1 spray on the 6.

 

played much better on the par 3, I really need to pay attention to wind but I did stick several close, really enjoying getting swings in and seeing what I am doing and then playing 18. Just need it to warm up!

The information being reports by all the testers is great.   Reading all these  posts makes me so envious.  I really need to figure out how to get something setup at home so I can practice more.

I agree!  I'm getting there, (got a net) but can't see myself dropping heavy coin for what will be typically outdoor, backyard and range use....

These posts are definitely giving me swing envy!  Great data and feedback results so far, even with the common issues.

Do you see these numbers increasing dramatically when the temps are over 60⁰? Cold sticks and cold balls having that much of an effect?

I think it’s a combo of it all. It was difficult to get any swing speed today lol, especially on the top end of the bag. I don’t get to cold easily but today was different.

as for numbers I don’t think anything was off or wrong. The numbers seemed right and again had no issues or missed shots today.

I don’t think so. We were hitting balls in my sim and it was in the 20s. Had a heater going but too cold to help. The ball heats up from hitting and spinning on the screen and once I loosened up there were some 185-188 carry 8 irons (modern jacked lofts low spin etc P790).

Those the ones you won from the WRX experience?

The distance is silly impressive. Average on tour from trackman is 160.

Getting that kind of swing in that temperature is impressive. My muscles are still stiff 24 hours later

Just got off the phone with FS customer service and was able to get the E6 connected to the Mevo+.  Super simple solution and one that could probably be in the manual as it seems to be a pretty common issue.  Under the Ipad settings tab we went to the E6 app and turned on the location setting and the Mevo+ immediately connected.  

I also took my generic "speed stick" and did a few swings on the Swing Training section of FS golf while I am waiting on Amazon to show up with the net.  

We have caught a break in the rain and I plan on getting the net set up and testing out the Par 3 course in the E6 and I'm sure when my son gets home from school we will be hitting in to the net for a while as long as the rain holds off.

I got out today and was finally able to put the Mevo to the test in the net. My original plan was to go into the skills challenge and create a "competitor" and put a ball with a sticker and one that was marked with a sharpie against each other to see if I could find any differences in spin differential between the two.

I set the Mevo up 6 feet behind the ball and allowed for 8 feet of ball flight. I didn't take a photo of the setup since I had already connected my phone to the Mevo.

Well, I couldn't get the Mevo to pick up any shots and decided to do a full swing session with my GW and PW. Three shots in I shanked the ball into the woods that had the sticker on it. Yeah... Lost a ball hitting into a net. 

@Josh Parker I think I need your awesome hitting net or one like it. Of course that would require a level yard, which I have like one small spot. 

Back to the Mevo.

I hit several shots first with the GW and was seeing results that I would expect on the course. They're not the greatest numbers, but close to what I see playing. I do think a couple of the spin numbers were inflated since I was a bit chunky and hit one out two a tad thin.

The PW numbers were a little low and completely overlapped with the Gap as far as distance, but without seeing actual ball flight, it's hard to judge. 

It was all fun until I shanked another ball into the neighbors yard.... I packed up after that, I didn't want to risk damaging his house. I'm going to talk to a buddy of mine and see if I can use his yard if I bring the net back out. If I had known 10 years ago that I was going to be hitting golf balls in my yard, I would have bought a different house. 

I'm hoping I can get in a SIM on Thursday, I have a doctor's appointment and might have time to hit one up if my wife it's stuck in court on Thursday. We're planning on meeting and going out to eat after she gets out.

Setup is complete for the most part. I am going to build a platform for the mat and need to add the side nets but got to hit about 3 shots before the kiddos took over. 

Hoping for no rain tomorrow so I can do an E6 round.

I admit, I am thoroughly enjoying this series. Everyone is doing an awesome job in the testing of the launch monitors from your enthusiasm, the hitting enclosures you’ve built, for sharing your results and real world insights with all of us, the good, the bad and the shanks. The coordinators chose well. Well done.

Looks similar to the one I got. One thing I noticed though was when I hit the bullseye my ball was stained red lol.

That's looking great! I'm glad you got to test it out, even if it was only a little bit. Hopefully the weather will cooperate with you tomorrow and you can play around with the E6.

Badge of honor right there! Now when you hit the bullseye didn’t mevo see it as straight, that’s the test!

Thank you!  It has been an awesome test so far and it's really just getting started.  We still have the Pro addition and Face Impact to test out.

Nice!  It wasn't terrible to set up.  The net took a minute but overall I think I'm going to like it.  We (ok I) want to add a impact screen and a projector.  I'm selling it as outdoor movie night possibilities!

Thanks!  I am going to build a 4x10 platform for the hitting mat and we plan on getting one more mat so the wife can hit as well and the tees will still be in the middle of the hitting bay.
