bavs1984
I am currently going through a driver battle between a Callaway Paradym and a Wilson Dynapower Carbon. Numbers are basically a dead heat and I just require additional shots to see which miss is the best. The edge is currently with the Paradym. Skrizan
I see a lot of posts mentioning shafts. I have never been fitted and with my 90-95 swing speed (sometimes hitting a max 100-105) I have always just used the stock Regular flex on every driver I've owned. Am I missing the boat not trying different shafts? I currently have a PING G410 Plus with Alta CB Red 55 shaft. arodrig29 and IndyBonzo 2 Quote PING G410 Driver and 3 metal, Callaway Hybrids, Cobra F9 irons, Callaway wedges, Scotty Cameron Phantom X7.5 putter

You never know what’s out there until you try it. Most local demo days now all have reps with full monitor setups that you can get on for no cost. Before I do I want to replace my whole bag and plan to get fitted when I do. Given how much it will cost maybe I should do it in phases. Probably start with Driver first, since mine is 5 years old. William0946
I purchased a Ping G430 Max late in the 2023 season and only had a chance to play about 5 rounds, but was very pleased with the consistency and accuracy compared to my previous drivers. I also noticed about a 10-15 yard increase in my drive yardage, of course that probably had a lot to do with keeping in the fairway more often. Can't wait to play the G430 max for the entire 2024 season. DStar
I've just bought a new Cobra Aerojet to try against my Cobra RadSpeed. Initial test shows that it's longer by about 10 yards and much more forgiving. Stuka44
Well I purchased my Cobra King Speedzone driver in 2022. I believe it came out in 2020. Sooooooo! by my calculations that means I have till about 2030-2032 before I have to consider buying a new one. I figure it takes in reality a decade or more, before club manufacturers progress to the point where any difference is actually noticeable, and would help to a small degree. So I'm set! TuukkaH
On the weekend, I finally received my Ai Smoke Max 10.5 degrees with Tour AD CQ-6 X shaft. Oh man that feels good and performs good. The ball flight got higher as it was on my earlier driver super low and penetrating. Also the dispersion seems to be good. I'm pretty sure that we are going to have many good years with this bad boy. RangerGrey
Well I started off with the Ai Smoke Max D with a Blue Fujikura NX Speeder, if I played all year round I would have kept it but all the buzz about the G430 Max 10K got to me and I'm glad I went for it. Now all drivers for 2024 have everything that most people would want from a driver. I just like a Matted looking driver more than a shinny one as the top crown of the Ai Smoke wasn't bad to look down at. I have tried Cobra drivers and they to me the best looking drivers out there but like I said went for the hype and I like what PING did to the LST model and went they came out with the wrap around carbon I couldn't resist. Okay the turbulators I have played before in the past as they do grow on you but for some it's a turn off. I hope PING comes out with a 10K LST as I like the smaller 430 size an the spin is almost identical to the 10K Max, but with the 10 Max there is better forgiveness. Now to match that up with a VA Composites Slay 55 shaft give the looks and feel of what I exactly want plus the distance is out there as straighter is longer in my case. All Im going to say is there is not one bad driver out there for 2024 but the real difference is when you can match a shaft up perfectly to your swing. 2024 is a great year for drivers despite the usual names they come out with.
