Is this Mini a straight driver replacement?

I won't use it off the deck much would be my guess.  I will use it off the tee and then keep the 4w in the bag along with my 3 hybrid.

I’ve used my Paradym TD off the deck more than my mini. I’m very interested in the new Callaway mini.

SWEET!!! I can't wait to compare it to my BRNR to see who's longer and more accurate. I'm pretty good with the BRNR, but I'll take a few more yards if the Ti340 gives it to me.

I have zero intention of ever hitting my BRNR off the deck. It's purely a driver replacement for me. I have a 3w/5w/4h in the bag to deal with the off the deck stuff. I still love my 3w off the deck, but don't use it as much as the 5w as I'm finding their carry very similar off the deck. So the 3w may eventually fade away, possibly replaced with a 4w and then a turned up 7w or turned down 5w. So many choices!!

I have not gotten them yet but they have been delivered to the Austin location. They don't let you stop by anymore unfortunately. 

I got my tracking number as well for the mini.

At least it looks like it made it to you in one piece without the packing material. It blows my mind that companies skimp on it, you spend money and you want to make sure it's protected.

My biggest concern was the headcover. So much white! Would have been nice to at least put some type of plastic over it.

I’m thinking about letting my son use my TM mini, he struggles with his driver but can crush his 5 wood. My mini isn’t much longer than his 5. I told him to tee off with the 5 and he’s getting good results but wants a bit longer club. I told him 250 yards with a 5 wood is nothing to complain about, but you know kids these days…

Dont like the sound nearly as much at the TM Mini.  Hit it okay.

10 shots each with the Callaway Mini vs the TM Mini, same exact shaft; VA Comp Nemesys, 65 R 43.25 inches.

 

Way too close to call into the net at home.  I only have a gen 1 Rapsodo, and it’s just not very accurate with numbers at home in the net.

 

Hitting them back to back though, the sound difference isn’t as big as I thought last night.  I could deal with either of them.

 

The look at address, the TM looks to my eye to sit a little more open than the Callaway.  Doesn’t matter at all for me since I try to hit a slight draw off the tee.

The 11.5 degree C “feels” like it may be able to squeeze a few more yards out than the TM, but that’s conjecture before I can get to the range.  

I can definitely feel a toe hit more with the TM than the C, but I don’t know yet if that’s a good thing.

 

It’s all going to come down to the flight and the distance, but I don’t think the Callaway will be up for sale.  I think I like it.

This actually makes me want to try the 11.5 degree TM Mini.  I wonder if anyone would want to trade a 13.5 for one?

Got my mini in this afternoon and went straight down to the range. Hit it a handful of times with the Kai li blue shaft and hit it well but switched it out to my Newton 5 dot at 44.75in. High baby draw after high baby draw. 

I need to take my Mevo down to the range to get some numbers, but talk about promising. 

Now I know that the driver issues are all in my head. Haha.

Hit a dozen or so shots into the net before work this morning, and I am *flushing it* with the Callaway, right in the center.  I cannot wait to hit this on the range.  I may need to adjust towards draw bias maybe.

Is your 5 Dot your driver shaft? I put a driver shaft in my TM mini and lost some performance. My 5 dot that is standard length from the original mini shaft works just fine though.

Yeah it was my Callaway 5 dot. I still need to get the Mevo down to the range and see actual numbers on the different shafts. I have a ventus blue 6s as well for callaway.
