Temps were great but it was very windy;  blowing at a pretty steady 15-20.  

Need to work on up and downs only 2 for 7 for todays round.   Otherwise I was pretty happy with the round.  Kind of feel like I am in a good place to start scoring lower.

Wild day. First nine, I could not get hardly anything going, kept shooting myself in the foot, etc. But, I made par on the 1, 3, and 7 SI holes. Back nine, I played a lot better, but got hot with a run of par, birdie (on the #2 SI), par, birdie (#8 SI), par to finish with a 37.

My SG says I stunk (as usual) on approach, but I felt like in general I hit my irons very well. This was my approach on the #2 SI, which I then canned the 12 footer:

Getting there. The race in Flight IV is tight and hopefully I can make it a fight to the end (good luck fellow 4s!)

Had an incredible round today!  Shot a 2 under on the front 9 and both birdies were on the par 3s. The entire group thought both were going in.  The first hit 6in from the pin and the other rolled by and stopped just long.

Back 9, I started with a bird on 10, missed a 5ft for par on 11 and then missed multiple birdie putts.  Got to 18 at 2 under and my hand slipped the grip on my tee shot to the 182yd par 3, 18th. Left me short left and I ended up missing the par putt by a couple inches. 

Had a chance today to break 70!

Best round I've had in a while. 38-43 so came back down to earth. Unfortunately, I was a bit worse the next day in my club championship bracket and lost on the 18th hole after being up four early and up one with two to play. Brutal.

From a scoring standpoint, it was an utterly mediocre round. Good ball striking, wedges were solid and putting felt good. However, from a cart mate standpoint it was outstanding and the vibes were immaculate.

Or hit greens and then U/D won't matter ?

Marked this as a practice round.  Obliterated my left exterior obliques last Friday, really had no business playing today.  Started off with my best impression of an old man swing (given that I'm practically a fogey now), and was able to ramp up over time.  Had some pretty good strikes given that I had to rely on technique as opposed to trying to power through the ball.  Me and powering through the ball is a laughable concept anyhow.

I think I need at least a week before my abs feel normal.  I was able to play through 18 without too much trouble though, and came away with a better score than I was expecting.  Kinda thought I would only be able to get about 60% distance, but was more struggling with falling back and missing the ball.

And yea, could have done better in the back half.  Decided I was not going to be scoring this round and bought beers on #5.  So the back half kinda fell off the rails a bit.
