MGoBlue100 Posted June 3, 2016 Share Posted June 3, 2016 For those who don't won't to pay for Handicap through GHIN, the Grint app calculates a handicap for you through a free membership and I "think" it is technically official because the place you in a "local club" but even if not official it's nice having a handicap to get an idea of where you are. One of the other sites, dare I say G***W**, which seems to use essentially the same software, allows this. I've gone from 17.1 to 12.4 in last 9 months, but MGS will only allow me to post the whole number index. J_Wurz Posted June 3, 2016 Share Posted June 3, 2016 I guess three 74's in the last 4 rounds takes a toll on the handicap. Good news is I'm playing some of the best golf I've ever played. Handicap dropped from 5.2 to an all time low for me of 3.8. Bad news is that match play started last week and I now I'm giving up 2 extra strokes I could have gotten in the first round if I had played the match before today. Nice work on the handicap. Must be nice to play the same track over and over and over again lol! I could drop to that too. Had to give you a hard time!! Don't really keep a real handicap but my average score is in the mid eighties. I did shoot 72 and 79 once, it felt so surreal to break 80...everything just clicked on that day, all my putts were on line and dropping. This is the reason I live and breathe golf. I'm actually down grading to a social membership so I can play some and still use the range. Mine is currently 4.9. I was 4.8 at the June 1 Revision and posted two scores - 78,76. The 78 knocked out a 72 but the 76 was almost its equivalent handicap wise - hence only a slight uptick. I wish that I had more time to work on my game. Unfortunately, its going to be stuck there a while as my stress fracture heals. At least it won't be going up soon!
