We had a bone in ham for dinner on Sunday. Which led to my wife using the ham bone  🍖 to make a pot of minestrone soup and of course I had to bake fresh sourdough bread 🥖 to accompany the soup. A perfect rainy day meal. We will have a class of Kirkland Malbec to complete the meal.

Pretty simple dinner tonight, double glazed ham with stir fried green beans with almonds. Mrs. H had some surgery so having to tend to her needs for the next few weeks means some simple meals for a while.

Exactly

When our daughters were very young (they’re over 50 now) on weekends I would make my special omelettes for the 3 of us while SWMBO slept in.  The omelette’s were all over the place, whatever was in fridge/leftovers was in play.  It was great fun for 3 of us and the girls still remember those mornings, and so do I.  Good times.

I have to follow very strict rules while I'm in the kitchen.. Can't use flour and certain bowls and only allowed to use the old pots and pans that she already replaced.. Can't use the new stuff 🤷, but I was a logger for almost 20 years so I can cook anything over an open fire in the yard 😁

My wife actually cooked a homemade cream cheese pumpkin pie last night but we don't get to sample it until today. She said the instructions called for allowing it to cool for five hours.

It sounds like you had a wonderful day and I'm glad you did.

If you can, @Josh Parker try making apple pie baked beans,  but done on the smoker!  Soooo good!

We are celebrating sons anniversary tomorrow,  so they requested ribs, lollipop chicken,  and my version of smoked stuffed bell peppers.

Dessert was a Publix cupcake cake.
