Golfspy_CG2
@goaliewales14 to answer your question. We didn't put any restrictions on what they did or didn't ask during the fitting. I actually based on my fittimg encouraged everyone to ask as many questions as they wanted. The only "rule" was they had to order what the fitter recommended, and not go with what they think would work "better". But my indication is no one had any issue at all with the recommendations. Even though my fitter was a bit worried how I might react to a 9w. I told him, hey if you tell me a women's club is going to work for me in a particular gap, then bring it on. As you'll see in my fitting portion he was spot on with his recommendations PAgolfer2017, Thin2win, PING Apologist #9 and 6 others 9 Quote G430 Max 10K TSiR1 15.0 Aldlia Ascent 60g TSR2 18.0 PX Aldila Ascent 6og TSi1 20 Aldila Ascent Shafts R T350 5-GW SteelFiber I80 SM10 48F/54M and58K S159 48S/52S/56W/60B Select 5.5 Flowback 35" ProV1 Play number
mr.hicksta
No doubt on the sound - I will tell you that they put something in mine (rat glue I assume) to get the swing weight to my desired number and it sounds much better to my ear. Off the tee this club is so long and effortlessly so. It's really great off thr deck too but it's special off the tee - I use it so much. The thing that I really like is the confidence it gives me - I feel like I can't miss. I have always liked long irons and hybrids have been a bit hit or miss for me so that is a contributing factor as well. Thanks for the response and thanks so much for your service! My dad was in the Navy and it has a special place in my heart. You have a lovely family too!Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI’m not a huge fan of hot melt, but I’m considering using some on my Crossover later on down the road. GeekingGolf
You beat me to this response I agree and got my opinion from TXG video of the hybrid 5 wood comparison and it's the reason I switch to a 5 wood now over a hybrid A lot of pros carry a 5 wood over a hybrid because it launches easier, has a steeper angle of descent and generally has a flatter lie angle Sent from my SM-G960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app bens197 and cksurfdude 2 Quote "Obviously my iron play is incredible, and when I get going I can get hot, but this course just fits my eye. My latest addition to my bag is a G410 SFT 7w with a stock Alta (s) shaft. It is really amazing and fit right into an awful gap I had between 5i & 3w. For some reason, I had troubles with my 4i and confidence with it was always low. Knowing that I hit FW's pretty well and consistently, it blended right in with them and solved that gap issue and has had an immediate positive impact on my game. I definitely don’t make my setup based on the wind though. And in this case the high ball flight is why I didn’t even give a 5W a second look after the shots I saw during the fitting.
