mackdaddy
Hey guy, Here in Northern Virginia the golf courses are packed everyday like it is the weekend. I noticed the other day that the huge ball displays that grace our pro shop have become very modest. I asked the assistant pro about how many they have sold this year. He said about 400 dozen. He said they only have about 100 dozen left in stock and don't think they can get anymore anytime soon. When I got home I went on golfballs.com and took advantage of the buy 3 get one free deal on the new Bridgestone B rxs balls and bought 12 dozen balls. Is anyone else worried about ball supplies running out? CrazyGolfNut
I work in a pro shop and because of covid, they boss put a hold on most of the material that was on order. Looks like things are starting to open up so I think he will release the orders that are on hold. There should not be a problem in the future. FYI I have about 3 dozen new balls at home just in case. PlaidJacket
I'm not concerned about balls as I have too many on hand as is. I can't imagine buying 12 dozen balls. Kenny B
I still have 4 dozen of the ORIGINAL K-sig 4-piece balls. I had them in the closet last year... forgot about them honestly, until I packed up and moved to a new house in December. I don't play them in winter, but since it has warmed up to the 80's this week, our first week open for golf, I started playing them again. They will likely last me for 2 years. Eric D.
It's a good time to use direct-ship golf ball companies like Snell or Vice. I personally really like the Vice Pro. I feel like I'm playing a tour quality ball for $25 a dozen. Nolan220
Odd maybe your course just didn't order bc of the shut down. It seems like dicks is running a ball sale almost every other day and saw some other websites with the 3 for 1 deal. So not too worried about them running out. Tom the Golf Nut
There seems to be plenty in the stores. For me I have been fortunate, balls just seem to come my way. Either from tournment prizes, raffles, gifts and such. I probably have about 6 dozen premium boxes of balls and about 20 sleeves of other ones that probably wont see the light of day. I usually wind up giving them to a newer golfer when I get to many. Letthebigdogshunt
I bought 4 dz last winter and still have close to 3 1/2 left after playing three days a week since then. Our course is hard to lose a ball unless you miss the fairway and they are very wide. I usually have take them out of play because they are a little worn out. The only real problem would be in the rough since it is thick and about three inches high. Quote Link to comment
