Marker That Doesn't Fade

Does anyone have any recommendations for a marker that wont fade over the course of the round after being constantly cleaned? I find that Sharpie teds to fade over the course of the round.

Paint markers work well.  And Bubba relies on the Milwaukee tools version of the sharpie. Tiger too... must be good.

Thanks for the info. I know remarking is also always an option but i would rather only do it once and be done with it.

By the point in time that your mark has faded, you should have lost or replaced your ball.

 

I just take the minimal time to draw the mark again.

I know this will make some folks uncomfortable, but I've used that as a feature, not a bug, especially for practice sessions. I'll line up a sharpie mark on the backside of the ball and then check my impact on the clubface. The sharpie wipes off easily enough from the club and is less involved than foot spray for a quick check.

Dry erase marker is better than a sharpie for this purpose. It is also becoming the new standard for checking lie angle.

I’ve done it to check mine.

Draw a good straight line. You can get a few different Outcomes \ | /  something like that the \ is possible too uptight, | is good and / would be too flat I believe.  Someone correct my mistake if I am wrong.

My wife said that when she swings her club, she can get any of those marks.

I get the toe down ones most of the time. I feel like i need the toe to be pointing straight up to be level at impact.

I have my irons at 2º flat, and I have worn the chrome off the sole of my 60º wedge from the heel to the middle of the sole.  It's my most used wedge including all greenside bunkers.  I probably could go flatter in my wedges.

If you have time before your round, nail polish works well and stays bright. It just takes time to dry so, I do a dozen at home a day or two in advance. It only comes off if you hit that spot.
