Congrats!  Excited to hear how these play.  I won a Titleist Driver at an event quite a while back and really liked it.  I got more distance with it than I did with my Callaway, although it was a little less forgiving.   I ended up retiring it for a Ping G410 after I had an issue with the connector on the shaft and ended up shortening by an inch.  Lost distance and did not hit it well after that.  Will be in the market for a new driver before too long.

Congrats to those selected.  Can't wait to see all of the results.  I'm a Titleist fan, as I play the TSR3 currently.  Now I want to see what the GT models bring to the table.

Congrats to all!

The new Titleist GT clubs are the only new Clubs of '24 I have not tried and I am very curious to see the results and thoughts of you all about them. Let's get to it!

I am brand agnostic. If it is in my bag it is because it works for me...

Did you try the 13.5º "3W" GT2? It's the club I'm most intrigued by.

Titleist has introduced the GT Drivers and fairways, signifying Generational Technology, marking a significant shift in materials, construction, and performance from their previous TS models. Despite appearances suggesting minimal change, substantial advancements lie beneath the surface.

Titleist's goal was to enhance performance without altering the familiar look and feel. This approach ensures that players have a familiarity with their clubs year over year while hopefully experiencing performance gains. The GT models feature refined aerodynamics, with changes focused on the underside to reduce drag and increase speed, notably through the raised aft section.

Tony Covey and Chris Nickel have done full breakdowns and articles on both the drivers and fairway woods which can be found here drivers) and here (fairway woods). Here is a brief overview to whet your appetite.

titleist_gt_drivers-25-1536x1075.jpg

The New GT Line

The introduction of Split Mass Construction redistributes weight to the driver’s perimeter, enhancing stability and optimizing performance. Additionally, the GT lineup incorporates a seamless thermoform composite crown, marking a departure from previous designs. This innovative crown integrates a Proprietary Matrix Polymer (PMP), improving acoustics and mimicking the sound of titanium.

The GT drivers emphasize lowering the center of gravity, promoting consistent spin rates and enhancing forgiveness. Titleist’s Speed Ring with Variable Face Thickness (VFT) face technology aims to boost speed across the face, catering to off-center hits.

Titleist offers three GT driver models models (GT2, GT3, GT4) and two GT fariway wood models (GT2 and GT3)

Each model maintains a familiar look but with significant improvements in speed, consistency, and overall performance. Titleist's approach ensures that while much has evolved, the essence of the driver remains unchanged, catering to both average golfers and Tour pros. The new GT family embodies the philosophy of advancing technology without compromising the core attributes that define Titleist drivers.

Congrats gentlemen.  Really looking forward to hearing about your testing as you are around my age/skill level and I want to know how the GT performs.  All of our Titleist fittings around here are charging $100 (which I don't want to pay since I have a lot of money in the clubhouse to purchase clubs), so I haven't had a chance to get fitted for the GT yet.  Especially curious to hear what shafts you get fitted with.

Live Life...oh and golf a lot!

In the Bag:

Driver & 3 Wood: Titleist TSi3                Hybrids: Callaway Paradym and Ping

Irons: Mizuno 225 Pro  (5-PW)               Wedges: Taylormade MG4 50*, Taylormade Hi-Toe 56*, Ping Glide 4.0 60* (Vokeys are resting downstairs right now 😁

Any results so far for the GT drivers and comparison to the Ai Smoke and TM?

Not yet, we're still awaiting our fittings.  I have the TM Qi10 LS and will be comparing it to the GT once I get my hands on it!  I also have the TSR 2 and I'll compare that too.

Looking forward to seeing the results! I think in terms of aesthetics, it was hard to beat the TSR lineup but performance>looks if the high MOI works out for folks!

Yeah. Really nice and tempting as a mini driver for occasionally hitting off the deck with wind. In the end, I hit the 10 driver well enough off of the tee and the deck that the 10 (switched up to a 10.75 which worked better than a 11 for some odd reason) was good enough. My 16.5 is turned down 3/4 of a degrees so it’s a 3.5 instead of a 4.

The seem to be fitting a lot of people into slightly shorter shafts. A friend of mine who is a 2 handicap was also fitted into a half inch shorter shaft like I was. I was getting 2mph higher ball speed with the shorter shaft in the new hzrdus.
