With the result of the PGA in doubt until Xander made the last putt. The same cannot be said for the pool contest, as @downlowkey had both Bryson and Xander in his pool and he had a Scottie Scheffler at the Masters type going away win by 5 points. Congrats on a well picked team.

The actual 2nd place finisher was disqualified for not following the rules---seems to happen every contest--I'll keep saying it, Reading is Fundamental!

As result @Bubba1985 won a tiebreaker over the other two entries that finished in a tie for 3rd with a 62. His -18 winning score prediction was the closest.

Congrats to the two winners!

We hope to be back with a great US Open Contest!

Just a heads up, so everyone is on the same page.

At this point we don’t have anything official set uo at HQ. We are still efforting and will see whst we csn do.

Slightly complicating it is the HQ is closed the last Friday of the month during the summer.

But i’ll keep everyone updated on anytbong thst does come up

Sorry for not being around a lot this week. Was sick over last weekend and into early part of the week. Then had four outings this week to run two of them over 200 players.

But among that i got in 18 holes with the AF405 in the PING G430 Max 10K

I dont have any data to show as I used my new V5 watch for the 1st time snd lets say. It was a mess—that’s another thread.

First impressions This thing is crazy forgiving and straight in this head. I hit 11/14 fairways and one of thoe misses was a massive hook when i tried too hard to take advantage of a wide open fairway and strong downwind, definitely got too greedy.

Another miss was in light rough just nesr the cart path but left be far enough down that i had a gap wedge in and a birdie putt

Honestly i didn’t see any 230 plus drives like i have with the OG and Triple Diamond. But different days and different clubs. So some direct head to head comparisons will be coming,

At least one other forum member @rkj427 is staying separately but playing at least one day. Not sure what @MDGolfHacker exact plans are but he'll also be there.

Both of them are booked in the extra tee times, as they aren't' staying in the package, they did book hotels in the area to be down there for the event.

No my bad there was a change. it's River on Friday, Plantation then Woods. So forget the time for Sunday, Woods is the private course and wont' take outside tee times. Our last time on Friday is 1:40 PM.

All the tee times have been filled and we won't be adding any more at this point.

However our last time on Saturday is 10:30 and the last time on Sunday is 9:30 if there is anyone out there that wants to get some guys together on their own and see if times behind those are available. Then of course welcome to join us whereever we are hanging out afterwards

As to the topic of pictures for the live thread. @cnosil covered it pretty well. A couple other things. The first priority of all attending should be to enjoy and soak in the experience as much as possible. Some can do that and tske and share pics. Some may not and that 100% fine. No pressure should be felt to have to take and post a lot of content.

also the area is pretty remote so cell coverage outside the condos will likely be spotty. So those that do post may be best served in the evening. But that gets consumed with a lot of socializing.

Big thanks ro @GolfSpy SAM for his plans to capture what he can. If you’ve seen his work. You know it’s phenomenal!

Actually it will likely be taken out next Thursday 7 day prior. I had told everyone 14 days when I thought we'd have to call in, that way it allowed a week for the "oh sorry I forgot crowd"

So keep an eye out on them for next Thursday!

Two Weeks From Today is arrival day at Kingsmill Resort. So what will officially be arrival day for the group--although several will have arrived in the area earlier in the week and playing some bonus rounds, this is where we will all be checking into on Thursday.

So I got to my office late yesterday and my Dream 7 via Chisag was there

I plugged it in the G430 10k. Howevwr we had steady rain, 51 degree temps and a 13 mph head wind and rqmge balls. So not good course conditions. But I went into our pavilion which is at least covered and hit a dozen balls onto the range which is like 60 yards from the pavilion.

I really really liked the high, straight, ball flight i saw. Great dispersion. Tough to tell a distance given the conditions. But i think its just as long as the og AF from what I could tell

should be able to get on the course Monday afternoon with the LM so we’ll see how it goes

I will say this G430 driver has never felt so lightweight. Like a completely different driver

So the River course was originally scheduled for Sunday with the Woods course Friday. But they are having a member guest on the Woods Friday so they had to switch the courses.

I play in a weekly shotgun start or our league, and one of my buddies always gives me a hard time for "starting on the toughest hole" But I always tell him, you've got to play them all at some point, so doesn't really matter the order.
