Club head speed with driver to "Mini" driver dropped about 5mph or so. Was carrying the mini about 25 yards less. It was spinning slightly more around 3200-3300 but I also was playing the Ping Max 10k head vs Triple Diamond Ai Smoke so probably expected some drop off. There's no Tour Ad shaft you can buy that has this low of torque at that weight. It's 5 yards further than my previous gamer Oban Revenge 5/04 and a yard or two straighter. It's a pleasure to swing and absolutely has that Tour Ad stability. Then popped in an Evenflow Riptide shaft which is similar to my 3W shaft. Great results so far including driving the 1st (344y slight downhill), 11th (351y dog leg) and the 13th (355y). I have about 4 rounds under my belt with the Callaway Ai Smoke Max 10.5 Driver and 16.5 degree 4W. The driver I have been alternating between a VF-6S and a IZ-5S shaft just comparing the two. If my swing is kinda wild, the VF is far more stable, but if I am in the groove, the IZ has been a bomber with the launch and distance. Going to measure data and numbers over the weekend to see spin numbers of both and make a final decision on what stays in the bag. Or... I may splurge and try for a UB-6 as well. The VF is tipped 1/2 inch so could butt cut it and change the adapter and put it in the 4W since it is a stock Tensei AV Blue. At first, I wasn't getting along with that club compared to my old Sim 2 4W, but the last two rounds I have figured out the lower profiled face and really enjoyed it. The other purchase has been a Mizuno M. Craft OMOI VI mallet putter. Inside 10 feet, this thing is $$$. Going from a SC Newport 2 for years, lag putts are the issue with the heavier mallet. I did change out the weights to drop the head 10g and I do feel like I can feel the putter head more on my stroke so will see if it helps the 40-50 footers get a little closer than I have been without sacrificing shorter distance control. The all black putter looks great and the milling on it is incredible.
