Charli
Today was ungodly hot. Shot a 78 with a bunch of missed opportunities. Doesn't make sense to have 100yards out hit a 60 degree which is your 100 yard club and not take a full swing.... can anyone explain why one would do that? Also had 130 out and had to go over a big tree. I could go aw which is my 130 but I decide let's go pw and taking an easy swing. Idiot!! I'm impressed that you hit your 60º wedge 100 yds. with the biggest swing that you can muster. Whenever I tried to hit my sixty as hard as I possibly could, it just went higher instead of longer. Taught me the preference for a low bounce 58. Or reminded me of it. (Cleveland used to make a great one in their old 691 series.) Think of all the linksters who'd love to shoot a 79 for the first time. You even beat their dreams by a shot. And you don't have to scrape the heat off your windshield when its time to go home. Now I'm acting out of character just for you. I'm usually a glass half-empty guy. MDGolfHacker and silver & black
tommc23
I'm an idiot. I know I burn easily yet I forgot to put sunscreen on before spending a day outside in a sleeveless shirt. We're getting the rain and the temps as well. So after the rain it feels a bit warmer because the sun bears down on the grass and the steam rises and makes it feel even hotter. Saturday my interclub tee time was Noon. I drank 3- 24 oz water cans on the front 9, 3 - 20oz water bottles, and 2- 24 oz poweraids on the back nine. It was brutally humid out. We sat in the shade as much as possible. Luckily there was about a 2 mph constant breeze to help a little. We tried one particular type of trail camera two years ago when there was an issue, but it made a flash each time it took the picture, so they knew it was there and they knocked it out of the tree. golfinnut
Can't take it as far as to match the tire tread to the ATV that was supposedly used to do it? That's straight up vandalism that I would prosecute to the fullest extent! I hate seeing that on a golf course. Someone did that to one of the greens at Army & Navy CC when I worked there back in the day. I hated it because it took us nearly a month to repair the green and fairway where they did their doughnuts. And I was one of the one's that had to repair it ... took up so much time. The damn old timers at the club were very impatient about how long it takes to repair. I don't know if they were ever caught either. This was back in the early 80's ... way before cell phone cameras & trail cams. Had to use old fashioned police investigation. HA! Golfspy_CG2 1 Quote WITB: Do I like Titleist or what?
