CFrazier
Gents,We’ve all seen the post about the ultimate foursome or one person who you’d love to play a round with if ever given the chance. Here’s a twist to that topic... Who is/are pro golfers or celebrities that you’d never want to grace the course with? Why is that? Mine:Patrick Reed- I think the guys a cheating douche based on many things I’ve heard over the years. Patrick Cantlay- Dude shimmy’s his feet 17 times before every shot and I think after 2-3 holes it would drive me insane.... Mr. 82
I’m going to take the Christian approach to this thread by repeating the golden rule of loving my neighbor as I would myself and not judging someone I’ve never met or played golf with. What you see on TV or read about on the internet most certainly does not give us a fair representation of who a person is. I’ve probably said a few bad words or more about PReed, based on things he’s said or done, but if in person I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I just can’t go on record saying I wouldn’t play golf with someone without personal knowledge or experience. I don't see how it is possible to judge someone that you have never met. Things on tv or the internet can be edited and spun to look anyway the person writing or reporting it wants it to. One answer out of context can look really bad. As for the question, I can honestly say that I enjoy playing golf so much that I am not sure that there is anyone that I have currently met that I wouldn't play a round with. I got out so little this year and now the season is pretty much over in Northern Iowa that just being on the course would be awesome. Despite having quit smoking in March of 1994, I still enjoy second hand smoke outdoors. A smoke filled room, once the equivalent of a mother's womb to me, would probably be a little tough these days. But I'm just the opposite from our man fixyurdivot. Celebrities and politicians both , from a purely sociological perspective, might have more in common with me than most pro golfers-- or even pro athletes, of which I was once actually one.. To answer the question, I probably wouldn't want to play with ANY pro golfer unless it was an actual club golf pro that I knew or a 1970s hippie--possibly lesbian LPGA star. I really liked some of those. They were fun. As for celebrities, I obviously wouldn't play with Kanye West, Scott Baio, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock.... any of that group. I had a bad experience with both Jordan and Na that I would prefer not to repeat. Jordan is a nice guy. He smokes and gambles like it’s his job to do so. Unless you are into that sort of thing it can be quite exhausting to spend four hours with a dude constantly talking smack, blowing smoke on you and demonstrating how rich he is. Kevin Na is not pleasant to be around in a competitive environment. He acts entitled and as if everyone around him is there to serve him. This is also not a judgement. It comes from my personal experience. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy Miura MB 502 Irons ping G400 Driver Cobra F7 3 wood Mizuno putter Mizuno Wedges.
