I like what he is doing, but I am sick of people that have no idea what they are even taking about... talking about it. Yeah, he hits it a mile. Who cares. And I lean towards liking Bryson. Just amplifies the talk about rolling the ball back and whatever. Just play gold and quit making shart up. Not directed at you in any way sir. Just the journalists you speak of. I love what Bryson is doing. I love how this is blowing people’s minds. The world is changing and we have to change with it. That said, nobody is talking about ANGC not allowing green reading books this week or ever. Bryson leans on this the same way John Daly couldn’t get through a round without a dozen Diet Cokes and two soft packs of Marb Reds. I don’t care how long you are. It's not a stat you flip overnight, no, but Bryson's improvement in his putting has been staggering since he came on Tour. His SG: Putting totals since he came on Tour: 2015: -0.309 -- No rank 2016: -0.302 -- No rank 2017: -0.193 -- 145th 2018: 0.346 -- 32nd 2019: 0.372 -- 28th 2020: 0.658 -- 10th 2021: 0.540 -- 58th His putting has improved steadily and while it's possibly due to the green reading materials, I believe it's more he's found the equipment and technique combo that actually works for him that's made the biggest difference. Wasn't too long ago he was trying the side-saddle stance. Augusta's greens are also notoriously tough to figure out, especially with their speed and undulations. Perhaps a wet November Masters works out more in his favour too. Perhaps a wet November Masters works out more in his favour too. And that there, the notoriously difficult greens, is what will make or break his round. The distinct advantage is the same as Tiger's in 1997...short iron approaches into holes that others were hitting from 40-50 yards back. If he can dial in his irons, that will undoubtedly help any issues he could face with putting. I am still rooting for him...It's hard not to revel in his pursuit of success. StrokerAce
glad I have a comfortable couch....going to be on it for a long time this weekend... For fans who spend Sunday afternoons on the couch, this week will feel a little different. That’s because on Sunday, there are more late games than early games: Five games will kick off on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, while six games will kick off in the 4 o’clock hour. The reason is that the Masters was delayed from its usual springtime schedule because of the COVID-19 pandemic and is being played this week instead. CBS will air the final round of the Masters on Sunday morning, and it will go into the early afternoon. So FOX will carry all five 1 p.m. games, and CBS and FOX will each show three games in the later window. Golf is expected to end about an hour before the three CBS games kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET. The top CBS announcing team of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be off football duty this week, with Nantz calling the Masters and Romo getting the week off.
