Hi Looking for some background on the attached putters and an estimated value if known.

Bought them both some time back and not using at this time and wondering whether they are worth anything or just keep them as back ups.

  • Ping Anser USA Ti4 Turquoise Hosel with original" plastic/metal headcover
  • John Byron Dalehead Centerblade Huntington Beach CA, Markings on face, "John Byron" / "2000 CBI SECOND RUN 047 0F 100" with 3 off copper colored circles on face strike area and with what looks like very very fine milling or impressed pattern on face

Cheers

For finding values,  the best places to look are ebay sales and PGA value guide.  That only provides a guess as putters are only worth what someone will pay for them.

The ping putter per PGA Value guide has a resale of $55

https://valueguide.pga.com/library/788/putter/ping/ti-4/

The byron looks to be in the same range as well based on a UK sales,  but you might get a little more since people like to collect the Byron putters,

Those low volume, "unique", putters are hard to put a value on. I have a feeling the Ping putter would sell for more than $55 like the PGA value guide would suggest, especially since it has the special cover. It looks like there was a less used one on the Bay that sold for $132 but yours looks more used. I would guess you could potentially get $100 or so since yours is still in good shape. The John Byron is a total mystery to me. Looks like other John Byrons have sold in the $60 range but yours also appears a little more unique and in good shape. It could be worth anywhere from $60 to $200 depending on if you find the right buyer(s). I would guess you will get the most for your Ping on eBay and you might try the MGS classifieds for the John Byron. MGS classifieds will show up on Google searches and you never know how many putter enthusiasts are sleuthing around the forums. You might also try putting a Buy it Now for whatever amount your comfortable selling the club for on eBay if you don't want to risk having an eBay auction end with no bids.

If you're going to sell putters now is probably the time with the golf equipment market being so hot, especially the Ping putter. Anything with Ping stamped on it seems to bring over $50 and anything that is cool brings more.

That PING was an experiment about 15 years ago when the Big 5 equipment companies were just starting to step outside their comfort zones.  PING at that time was producing the i5, G5 lineup and the most innovative changes were TaylorMade's TP lineup and hybrids by way of Cobra.

As @Kansas Kingsaid, it may not have a bluebook value that'll blow your mind, it is a super niche and super cool product that some collectors may pine for.

It was marketed as a Titanium neck to divert weight from the neck and focus it around the head.  Cool concept, fun to look at.  I would hang onto it if I were you.
