Beakbryce
4 more yards. And no, I don't believe they add 4 yards. I just like the consistent tee height. They last forever. My wife loves Martini tees. They also have a version that provides consistent tee height. Use wood tee for par 3 or when teeing off with a 3 wood. We have the small tee box to throw broken tees in to so that it doesn't ruin the mower. Zivl3
I use Western Birch wood tees. I push them into the ground deeper than they need to be and then pull them up to the proper height. If the ground is really hard, I'll wiggle them around a bit to loosen the hole. They tend to pull out instead of breaking when I do that. Tees will last several rounds. Usually I stop using them because the head is beat. I rarely snap the shank. ButchE
wbealsd
I bought a small bag of Martini tees, if forget how many years ago, but I'm still using the first one I took out of the bag. Simply unbreakable, for me. The only time I use other tees from the "tee collection" I've built up over the years is when I'm practicing off of a hitting mat using a simulator over the winter, or at the practice range. NapaMan
I also used to think that the Martini tees were goofy. Then I found one and gave it a try. I've now been using the same one for about six rounds. Hit 12 fairways last time out; so there's no way I'm going back to "normal" tees. They certainly are durable and easy to use. The ridge makes it simple to get consistent height every time. If you don't like the bright colors, they also come in white.
MB5280
Most of the time I use the Pride Sports 3.25" Evolution Tee as the markings help me set my ball height right every time plus I use one tee until I loose it (About 4-6 months). When the ground starts to freeze I go back to Western Birch 2.75" tees as wood doesn't bend like polymers when trying to press into the hard Colorado ground sometimes. If the ground is frozen then I resort to my rubber winter stand tees . RITZ
Nov 23-2020 MGS review of Martini tee review loss of distance-https://mygolfspy.com/2020-golf-tee-test/MARTINI OBSERVATIONS: In this golf tee test, we found no evidence to support Martini’s distance claims. We found evidence to support a loss of distance. Data suggests a modest reduction in sidespin. However, it didn’t result in shots that were, on average, straighter than wood. OTHER NOTES: The Martini tee is the easiest to tee up, which does provide a benefit for golfers with limited range of motion or shaky hands. The Martini tee is phenomenally durable and its larger design and bright colors make it easy to find on the tee box. There is a legitimate reason why it’s popular with senior golfers. fozcycle and tdroma98

Stuka44
I use the "3 yards more" plastic tee. I tried them after my daughter, who just got a job bought them for me with her own money as a fathers day present. I went out and figured I better actually try them, because she was going to ask if I had. I also historically was someone who went through on average 12-14 wooden tees a round. I went out and said I was going to use them for the entire round, which I did. I have to be honest I found the uniform tee height, as these have a little stopper on how far they push into the ground to be a great thing. Before I would just kind of stick the tee in the ground and really didn't pay attention to how far, and just eyeballed it. I don't believe I got the 3 yards more but I find the much more uniform tee height great for me. And I can get a minimum of 6 rounds out of one, if I don't forget to pick it up. tdroma98 and Fred Mitchell 2 Quote Driver: Cobra King Speedzone Irons: Mavrik 4-GW Wedges: CG-14 56 & RTX 52 Hybrid: Callaway Apex Pro 2H Woods: Gigagolf 3W, Putter: Ping Scottsdale Wolverine Ball: Srixon Z-Star XV

RITZ
Good points everyone above on ease of use and assisting on correct tee height. When I read the review results on Martini tee loss of distance I am worried about that as I don't hit it long enough to lose any distance off the driver. Tincuptim
Our Club provides wooden tees and unfortunately people abuse it. New tee every hole and leave it laying around. Terrible for the mowers and I'm sure there is a cost associated with the waste. I use a Martini tee for the driver which I thought I would never use. Have had the current one in play for over 6 months and I play 4-5 times a week. Lucky to be in AZ. Bought a bag of the short wood tees as I don't have to push so deep in the ground to get the correct height on par 3's. Last a couple rounds before they chip and need to be replaced. fozcycle and Stuka44 1
