GolfSpy_BNG
Mention it and it appears haha. The 5.1 and 12 have my attention for sure. As I mentioned in the “What equipment are you thinking about” thread, I would have preferred a mini 11vx due to my own weirdness with holes in putters but if it performs I’ll give it a chance. fixyurdivot
I'm still gaming and having good results with my ER5v. I did see this announcement today and noted that not only have the folks at Evnroll been busy but that changeable weights are in every product offered. That level of adjustability sure makes sense - particularly in todays world of computer aided putter fitting. Lots of mallet designs in the line-up; that says something to me as well. PMookie
EV5.1 black and satin, or ERZ.1, but I’d need a fitting because I’m not sure either one would work for me based-on Edel and Ping fittings I’ve done. While doing my review on the ER5v, I added a Sharpie marker toe and heel side top line to the stock, middle line in attempt to test out the mfg. claim about the face design (even rollout on off-center strikes). I never wiped them off and now kind of use them to help frame/position the ball on the centerline. I wonder what Guerin would say about this? GolfSpy_BNG
I’m guessing you could get increase/decrease the toe hang slightly by making the tie lighter/heavier. Not go from toe hang to face balance but maybe add/subtract a few degrees if needed. Big fan of the in-line slant vs the normal slant neck. Middler
Don't get me wrong, I am totally an Evnroll fanboy. My gamer was an ER2 when they first came out, and I switched to an ER5B in May 2020 - love them, and would buy another... ...BUT, I would not buy black "murdered out" from Evnroll again, the anodizing, paint or whatever they use is not as durable as I would expect. My ER5B has 278 rounds on it. There's a lot of wear on the head of mine (sole, leading and trailing edges especially), and it is NEVER without its head cover except when I am using it. And the shaft paint has worn off where it touches the dedicated putter slot in my PING bag. I am about as anal about caring for my clubs as anyone you'd ever meet, I use iron covers on every other iron. Other guys I play with ask me if my clubs are new, my Mizuno's are 5 years old and my W/S RM Midsize irons were 20 years old when I sold them - still pristine. No, it looks like new from the top at address. I assume the wear is just from grazing the grass on greens and/or the head cover which rests on the sole when it's in the bag? The latter might sound crazy, but the wear is most prominent at the leading and trailing edge, I can see bare metal at both - and that's a putter that's been babied all along. That is a different putter design than the 2 by nature of the club design it will have higher MOi. But I still think adding more weight to the 5.1 is just a weight fitting thing and wouldn’t significantly change the MOI. mtcowdog
I like the look of the 4.1 or 5.2 duo. I am a fan of perpendicular color contrast. Hosel options are nice. Short slant usually works best for me. I'm a fan of these. So when I buy another Evnroll, I'm staying with satin - my ER2 looked almost new when I sold it. FWIW, for anyone on the satin v black fence? [If Evnroll has substantially changed their black process, by all means correct me.] To be fair, this is similar wear you can expect to see on any black finished putter, especially if it not DLC finished. Same goes for black steel shafts. But that discussion is for another thread.
