Parham10 Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Hello, if I am in a group and I hit my ball and it goes over into the rough/ in a bush for example near the green and the group in front see where it goes are they allowed to go over and look and find it? This weekend I was told they can't search for it they can only advise where it went. Is this correct? Quote

During PGA events you see competitors, fans, and media searching. Per the rules on identifying a ball, it says that anyone else can help identify your ball. 7.2 How to Identify Ball A player’s ball at rest may be identified in any one of these ways: By the player or anyone else seeing a ball come to rest in circumstances where it is known to be the player’s ball.
