JFish350
Loved the combine, to me it’s how we should practice. I know I’ve grabbed one club that I was having a good day with and hit 30-50 shots. That works two fold. You can get in a grove and then work on working the ball. Problem is how often do we use the same club on the course more than once?? The combine runs you through 3 different clubs and different yardages. The one thing I want sure it was asking me to use the predetermined club or choose the club I think is correct for whatever yardage. the next part is seeing if I can change the yardage on the combine. I did have have one issue last night. The system froze up while in sim mode. I’ll be going back and giving it a few more try’s before I judge it. barney_bogey
Just pulled the trigger tonight on the MLM2PRO & I'll be honest, I'm downright giddy. Trying to decide on a net. Now I get that instant feedback, of the distance, shape and all of the other great metrics the unit has to offer, it is a truly much more informative and rewarding experience, and as a bonus, even in the range I am keeping my head down more even after impact, and I do not feel I need to rush and view where my shot went. Thanks for this info! This is great to know as I too just hit into the net regularly. I definitely want this puppy now. Popular Post xOldBenKenobiX
Went to the range today. I was able to try the combine feature and was happy with the results. The combine was by far my favorite aspect of the Rapsodo, I honestly wished I had tried sooner, the reason behind is very simple, it does give me a goal of what do to, it is not just tracking the shots, but it is also giving me a distance and target to hit at, so I can pick a different set of clubs every time and work on my progression and distances, I try doing it at a 75% swing speed and pace, concentrating more on getting the club head to be square at impact and other mechanics of my swing. Having a purpose other that just hitting balls down range was great and rewarding to me. Her is MGS Harry Nodwell write up about the combine feature. That made my range session a lot more enjoyable for sure. Rapsodo_MLM2PRO_Elson_Correa_24091117.mov I can see that on the well struck drives, my launch angle is hurting the distance a bit, I need to try different loft settings on the driver and ultimately work on delivering the club-head on an upswing. IMG_0(1).MOV IMG_0.MOV The data learned from it is amazing, and can be very useful. I like the way it works, because it counts the good and bad shots to calculate your scores, sometimes I think that in the range we get stuck trying to hit an specific shot and with the combines it becomes more realistic and close to what would happen in the course, as you only have a couple shots with one club at the time. I can see that I have kind of replace the wild slice on a lot of my shots with a left to the target shot, which was part of my initial attempts to tame the right miss, now it is to start working on controlling the left to target and bring back into my intended line. Trying to keep my swing at 75% gave me a great insight on the distances. I had set the PW to 100 yards 7i to 140 yards And the driver had no set distance. But it is not all highlight reels that I get the usage, I also like that I can see exactly what my club head was doing at impact when I duffed one. Too many times, I fall into the routine of hitting endless shots with club after club with no real practice. Bouncing between different clubs definitely enhanced the practice session and I really enjoyed the change. JFish350
I will say it is a work in progress once a person gets used to this machine. It is a pretty humbling thing to see your swing and the ball contact video confirms most of my fears. It makes me ask the question of, Have I ever hit the center of the club face with a driver. Apparently I am a toe baby. With my driver my swing speed is way to high to even know if the numbers are correct by missing the club face. Work work work needs to be done. CSiders12
Got out to the range last night and played with the Combine mode. I wish that it had more adjustability within the mode, but all in all, it has really helped dial in some distances. It has also shown me the areas and distances that I need to put more time into. For example, hitting a 50-yard pitch shot is apparently the hardest shot for me to hit. I clearly need to work more on the shorter distances to provide better scoring opportunities. One other time, the app froze and I had to exit out of the app completely and restart the entire session. I went to change my alignment, but when I went back into the simulation part, it froze and crashed the app. That is the only problem that I have experienced so far. I’ve always had questions about using range balls for dialing in distances. On a tour, they get to use the same model of balls they play with in actual real golf on the practice range. If you’re a ProV1 player, you get your TrackMan or your GC Quad and hit real golf balls. Then you can adjust based on altitude, temperature, etc. With range balls, I’d venture that it’s just not the same one to one ratio for carry distance. Would need to test though. I think MGS HQ wrote an article about using range balls for fitting a while back. Does the Rapsodo track full flight outdoors? If so, at least you’d know how far range balls go. But for 50yds and in, I’d save your scuffed up balls that are the same model you play with and find a park where you can laser a bucket and pitch balls to it to dial those carry distances in. sirchunksalot, xOldBenKenobiX and BallsLeon 3 Quote Instagram: @tony_rosselli_ Training Pre training max driver speed: 124mph Current: 130mph WITB: Driver: G425 Max, 9* Woods: 2007 Burner TP 3 wood and 5 wood Irons: Z765 4-PW (1 degree flat) with KBS $-130 shafts Wedges: SM7 50/12/F, 54/10/S and 58/12/D Putter: L.A.B. CSiders12
I have been able to thoroughly test this unit indoors and outdoors and I will say that I am very impressed with the performance, especially when hitting inside. The increased accuracy in the MLM2PRO from its predecessor, the MLM, is a huge bonus. When gapping my clubs and working on my distances, I have found better results hitting inside compared to hitting outside. As we all have probably seen from the Ball Lab, the golf ball that you hit makes a big impact on the numbers that are produced. Something that I have realized quite a bit when hitting on the range. At my golf course, they use range balls that are all different brands. When going from hitting a Titleist to a Kirkland to a Nitro, the numbers get a little sporadic. The consistency of hitting the same ball indoors has provided the most consistent numbers when trying to figure out the diagnostics. I’m guessing it won’t give good data, but it’s worth a shot! xOldBenKenobiX, ejgaudette and sirchunksalot 3 Quote Epic Max LS 10.5 - Motore X F3 6X | Speedzone 5-wood - Ventus Blue 8S | TSi3 20* Hybrid - KBS Proto 85S SMS Pro 4-PW - Steelfiber i110S | MG3 Raw Black 50.09, 54.11, 58.11 - DG TI S200 ER2B | Pro V1x | NX9 Slope | Jones Trouper R | CaddyLite EZ v8
GolfSpy BOS
Sometimes I get the spin just right… #spyapproved I have a lot more to say, but one thing I wanted to mention is just how awesome it is to have the two camera setup on the MLM Pro 2 versus the original unit using your phone or tablets front camera. This is worlds better and the impact vision may be this unit best feature as I head into the fall and winter season. I’ll be able to practice much more effectively being able to see my impact patterns than if I was just guessing. When I hit outside at the range, since I am not hitting balls that have black markings on them, such as the Callaway balls that come with the launch monitor, I do not get spin numbers. Until you asked that question, I was unaware of that feature. Something to maybe consider if you're looking into the launch monitor. Popular Post xOldBenKenobiX
Cold here today. Still got a chance to go to the range, this wind was whipping hard. A new feature unlocked on the MLM2Pro, I got the swing vision, since now I can set my phone front facing camera to film me. I love the side by side video feedback, I absolutely enjoy that you can get more metrics on that view, I just wish I could export the swing vision videos. Cool to see my set up. I did change the loft of my driver mid session, I'm trying to improve that launch angle. I think it helped a bit. I had to use the screen recording on my phone to be able to show the swing vision video. RPReplay_Final1696793631.mov Despite being cold, it was gorgeous out there. Josh Parker
Good morning! Wondering if anyone doing the testing has used the SC4 next to the Rapsodo? I have been looking at both units and my use will primarily be outdoors at the range. xOldBenKenobiX, sirchunksalot and IndyBonzo 3 Quote Paradym TD Driver w/ Ventus Blue 6S 3W MKII ZX 5's (4-6) w/ KBS Tour V MKII ZX 7's (7-PW) w/ KBS Tour V Vokey Wedges 50* 54* 58* DF2.1 Putter

I didn't see it listed in the best personal launch monitor test. I did see the question asked in the comments section a couple of weeks ago and didn't see a response. Anyhow, you guys are doing a great job, keep it up! IndyBonzo, GolfSpy_KFT, xOldBenKenobiX and 1 other
