Hey everyone! Long time lurker/sponge of all things MGS, first time tester! I'm super excited for this one!

I'm a structural engineer based out of Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada). The same very analytical approach I take to work/life does tend to spill over to my golf game. Spreadsheets are your friend! I also frequent the Palm Springs, California area as my folks are now both retired and have a place there.

I started golf around 14 (37 now) when I went to visit my Grandpa. Fell in love with the game, and the ability to be outside in the sun all day free of all of life's responsibilities for a brief period. I also have 3 tiny humans (5,3 and 1/2 a year) which keep me and the mrs busy.

Currently play off a 2.9, but am not as long as I probably should be at 260-280 for being 6'2". I play out of both Paradise Canyon and Henderson Lake golf club locally.  It is known to be a little windy here typically; calm day around 10-15mph, 35 mph winds are quite typical.

I still manage 2-3 rounds per week during golf season, but a majority of my practice/training comes at home...unsurprisingly using MGS recommended products. I have a simulator bay in the garage, a rapsodo MLM2PRO with GSPro, a spornia net for travel practice/backyard practice, BirdieBall putting mat, Rypstick, etc.

Current ball varies between v1x-left dash and maxfli tour, depending on how I've been playing and which course I'm playing. I struggle with fairways and occasionally hit a bad putt or two a round...I feel from a lack of focus/commitment to a shot. I'm really interested to see if the mindset ball will help clear me of some distractions in my pre shot routine and hopefully shave a couple strokes off the game. Weird WITB below.

Congratulations spies!  A super mix of new members and wily veterans 👍.  I'm both curious and dubious at the same time.  I'm sure, like me, many want to know if this ball marking and thought process can really live in and affect that space between our ears 🤔.  Look forward to your reviews.

Really looking forward to this testing opportunity. I enjoy comparing one ball vs. another but adding the Shot Scope twist is going to make this even more exciting. I’m still new to Shot Scope so I’ll be taking a few weeks to gather some data on my current ball before starting to track Bridgestone data.

Excited to have this opportunity! I've been going back and forth between Taylormade TP5s / Pro v1's / Maxfli tour X, so far the TP5's seem to fit my game best. I've tried a few bridgestone balls but nothing ever stuck so I am excited to see if these will.

Hello All,

I’m excited to be testing the Bridgestone ball. I’ve been a Pro V1 guy since I played golf in high school in the 90’s (probably more the aesthetic of it, probably not the right ball for me). A couple years ago I decided to really find a ball that works best for me, I landed on a Chromesoft. However in the past year I’ve focused on speed training, and as my ball speed increased so did the need for a different ball. My driver ball speed is, on average, 165 MPH, so I moved to the TP5x. I’m excited to see how the Bridgestone ball stacks up and to try out the new Mindset optic

Looking forward to the opportunity to test these and provide feedback.  I usually mark my balls so that I have a spot to focus on when hitting off the tee.
It will be interesting to see if 1. this replaces the need for that and 2. the ball performs better than the one I'm currently using.

I'm Bubba and I'll be testing the Bridgestone mindset ball..I haven't been playing long compared to some of the other testers, but I will give an honest, unbiased opinion..I picked up the game of golf about 3 years ago after a few buddies talked me into joining them and was instantly hooked.. I'm still a ways from retirement so work gets in the way of my tee times but still manage about 4 to 5xs a month.. When I first took up golf I thought it would be a good way to relax, but I now find it's hard to be a good Christian on the course lol, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.. Last time I checked I was swinging my driver around 104 mph and around 260 give or take and about 55% fairways and an average 2.5 putts.. My approach game needs work but I'm getting there

Greetings,
I'm Walter, a military retiree residing in Northern Virginia. My journey with golf began over 15 years ago during my military service, but it wasn't until retirement that I could indulge in the sport more frequently. With a 15 handicap, I strive to hit the links most weekends, often squeezing in a round or two during the week. Over the past four years, I've become increasingly focused on tracking my golf stats, transitioning from Arccos to the Shot Scope X5 last April.
Regarding my game, driving is my best attribute, while my approach shots and putting remain areas for improvement. Currently, I play the Wilson Triad golf ball for its versatility and performance. My interest in the Triad Golf Ball was piqued by a Ball Lab review on MyGolfSpy.. After giving the Triad Golf Ball a try last year, I found it to be an excellent all-around golf ball, offering solid long-game performance and an exceptional feel around the green. Its durability, consistent ball flight, and soft feel off the putter were particularly appealing, despite it not being the longest ball for me.
This year marks an exciting milestone for me as I embark on my first experience as a MyGolfSpy tester. I eagerly anticipate evaluating the Bridgestone TOUR B RXS MindSet and sharing my insights with the community.

I am very excited to be chosen for the Shot Scope and Bridgestone Mindset testing opportunity for two reasons. First, this is my inaugural testing opportunity and I hope that I can add enough value to be chosen for others in the future. But second, and even more interesting, is this is a unique test for MGS in that they’ve figured out how to bring their datacratic philosophy to member testing. I’ve used Shot Scope for several years and value the data it provides. But how cool is it to have Shot Scope incorporated into a member’s test! This could open up a huge new source of objective testing for far less than putting launch monitors into everyone’s hands!

A bit about myself. I’m in my early 70s now, but I didn’t take up golf until I was in my late 20s. And since the only organized sport I ever played was baseball, my golf game initially looked like I was still trying to play baseball! Pretty sad. I had knowledgeable friends who tried to help me, but I took the far-too common road to better golf; struggled for decades until a few things made sense between my ears. Now, with the advent of Internet golf videos and app feedback, I’ve improved further. I can honestly say that I’m a much better golfer today than I ever was – considerably shorter, but technically better. I no longer carry an official USGA handicap as neither my league nor my usual golf buddies partake and it became a chore to post legitimate scores; not to mention that I don’t do anything where the official handicap is necessary. So, I use the SwingU app which provides me with a reasonable HC number, missing only the new weather adjustment the USGA has recently added.

Not that it’s my greatest my strength, but I am most comfortable driving the ball vs other parts of my game. That’s probably why I’ve always gravitated toward firm balls like the -Pro V1 X, my favorite, and the MaxFli Tour X which performs very close to the left dash, but costs nearly half the price when on sale. I’ve used firm golf balls for so long (I even used “Rock-flights” back in the day) that chipping and putting with soft balls just feels weird to me. I’m a bit concerned that the Bridgestone ball fitting guide put me in the Tour B RX which is considerably softer. I’ve always used the ball model name and the GC line on the MaxFli for alignment, so the Mindset graphic adds an interesting twist. With Shot Scope tracking everything, this could be a real eye opener for me.

Good morning everyone! Forgot to introduce myself, my name is Andrew Brockel I am relatively new to the forum and so far its been awesome. I love interacting with people who are just as crazy about golf as I am, and I look forward to making new friendships as well. As I mentioned in my previous post I have been experimenting with 3 different balls, TP5's / Pro v1's / Maxfli Tour X. So far it seems like the TP5's fit my game best. I am hoping this new Bridgestone ball is the answer to all my problems. I'm looking forward to trying out the distinct mindset markings on this ball, I've been using the standard green golfball alignment tool that I'm sure most of you are familiar with. While its a great tool, its kind of a pain having to mark all the balls manually. That being said I am anxiously awaiting on the shipment to arrive at my doorstep. Lets just hope this rainy weather in the Philadelphia area clears up, 4 straight days of rain I can't stand it anymore.

Looking forward to testing the Bridgestone Mindset. Have switched between Bridgestone B RX and Titleist AVX. As I get tired late in the round, I'm hoping the Mindset ball helps me to refocus on each shot.

Been playing golf since I was 8, so.... a long time!

Best of luck with dealing with your family medical issue.  They never are fun and always a priority.  Fingers crossed for a positive family outcome.
