Why You Should have a 7 wood.

I have a G430 Max 7 wood that pairs great with my 16.5 degree 4 wood as far as gapping. I can smooth swing it for 200 yard shots or rip it for around 215-220 with roll on long par 5s. It is a super versatile club and very forgiving. Launches high and lands soft! Tried a traditional 3 wood and 5 wood and they went about the same distance for me with launch angles and not as forgiving, the 4/7 combo is great for mid handicaps!

If you can hit fairway woods with any sort of consistency, run with it. I struggle with anything longer than a 6 iron. I had Rogue ST Max 5 wood that I got to replace a 3 wood that I couldn't hit and really liked it. I randomly found an 11 wood that I feel in love with so I went out and found a matching 7 wood. I got so used to hitting fairway woods, I ended up getting another 3 wood. Now I carry a 3, 5, 7 & 11 wood in my bag and use them way more than my irons. I typically go driver, fairway wood (s), wedge then putter. My comfort level with fairway woods changed my game entirely.

Yep.  Titleist TSI 1 20 degree.  Gets me close to the green because my drive doesn't.

The 7 wood absolutely changed my game, so much so that I would love to try a 9 wood.

I actually don't really think of my 3 wood and 7 wood in terms of gapping anymore, I can get almost the same carry with both of them, but completely different ball flight and the 3 rolls out. Hitting greens with the 7 wood has to be one of the most satisfying things I have ever experienced in golf.

My 21 degree 7 is my Ginty from the rough.  Never lets me down.

Finally, purchased 7 wood last year.  Needed a club I could hit high and soft 160 - 170 to compliment my 4 iron.  Yes, I am  one of very few women that still carries a 4 iron, which I hit a solid 160.  I don’t pull the 7 wood out much, unless the approach is loaded with trouble, bunkers & hazards.  Performs every time also easy to hit out of the rough.  Still not ready to say goodbye to the 4 iron.   Not getting any younger though.
