We were in that same place a few weeks ago. Most of the usual course was submerged, and a local 9 hole by the river was 100% under for a few days. Hoping that one recovers...

I grew up in Creswell and Harrisburg.  Swam in the Willamette and Mohawk rivers... no joke.

My parents used to run the Shotgun Creek BLM park in Marcola - I remember that "creek" becoming more of a river at times.

I'm gonna be in Palm Springs the last week of March.. Joshua Tree for 3 days taking pics.  Couple of rounds of golf. Concert in San Luis Obispo on the way home... should be a good trip..

Unfortunately flood plains are typical locations for golf courses.  Can't build there so it's farmland or golf courses.  We have 2 courses locally that flood.  One floods every year and one only floods during the extreme floods.  I posted this pic of a local muni's par 4 #18 last year; it probably will again this year.

I don't have a 360y carry.   :P   The tee is dry but you can't get to it.

 

You can see the shadow of the clubhouse.  During the 100 year flood of 1996, the water came up to the back door, putting this green under 7 feet of water.
