Update on the hitting deck. Need to scoop up (2) 2x6x8 to finish the framing and then get the decking but it's coming along nicely. 

I will put a sheet of plywood down for the weekend so I can hit into the net and then finish up next week.

Updated photo.  Threw a piece of osb board down so I can hit into the net this weekend. Plan on picking up the deck boards this next week.

The new hitting bay looks like it's coming along nicely. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Once I get the decking on, I have 2 mats to put down that will span the 10ft wide so right or left handers can hit from the middle.

Yes sir.  I have them but haven't installed yet because I wanted to get the decking done.  I am also planning on stretching the net at the front bottom and attaching it to the decking so the balls roll back level to the hitting mats.

I have noticed that the golf balls are getting scuffed/marked up pretty quickly hitting into the canvas target.  I am currently doing research to figure out if it's just the type of material or if a impact screen would do the same thing.

Update on the outdoor hitting net build.

Got 99.5% of the decking done today.  Need to add one last piece and a trim board up along the patio.  Need more blocking for the net to bring it up level to the deck.

Looking great!  Not sure where you are, but it's cheaper here for 12 cinder blocks than it is for patio stones. Plus with the holes in the cinders, you can anchor the bottom tubing to them with bungee or rope. (Stack 2 high, set of 3 across in the back, use the rest for the sides and front)

That's a great idea!  Because I can't get anything in to the ground to anchor so the cinderblock will allow me to strap it down.

Quick update on the net.  We have had a few pretty windy days and this thing has held up great!  I used some tiedown straps and anchored it.  The netting and target have held up great as well.  

It's been great to jump out there in the evening and hit a small bucket into the net or work on a few swing changes with the Mevo+.

Not sure how I missed this Josh but this is right up my alley. Great review and think I will go with this one after the backyard is prepped! I was worried after looking at some of these on Amazon that my neighbors would be in danger with my horrible shots, but this is nicely enclosed and looks like it will hold up.
Like you said I think it would be a big improvement for me to be able to go out and just hit a quick small bucket every night to get more comfortable, and even better with the Mevo to work on some things. Great work

It also came with the side netting as well. Helps with the occasional shank.

I like that, other than driver, I can literally stand in the opening and hit shots without an chance of a ball leaving the hitting area. Driver I back up some to half clearance and comfort swinging.

very nice! I like the gentle slope so that the ball will roll back.

Im interested in this cage----and would plan on keep it up full-time April through October. I'd take it down NOv-March because of snow.. I live near Buffalo, NY where weather is obviously a factor.   How does this thing hold up with wind? Is there there things to be done to ensure it doesn't get blown away or severely damaged in the case of high winds?

I have mine strapped down at each corner.  I have these dog anchors for each corner and cheap straps but you could use rope just as well just to keep it anchored in place.

I was trying to upload a photo of them but it keeps giving me an error.  Harbor Freight carries them for like $4 each.

Update...

This net has stayed strong with no signs of wearing out and in the Texas sun, that's a success. I am still hitting into it at least once a week and it has been great for quick testing or mini sessions.

Seeing this is coming at the perfect time. My golf cage has began to deteriorate at a couple of corners and I’ll need a new one soon..

I really liked that it came with everything and included the second net at the back.
