BostonHackIt
Odyssey 2-ball Triple Track is my go to putter. I tried an Odyssey 2-ball Triple track and started using a line on my ball in 2022. Swood1994
I started out playing a ping Zing 2 putter from my grandfather. It played at around 36” and I ended up putting a super stroke 3.0 grip on it in high school. I played with that putter for probably 10+ years. I then upgraded to my current gamer which is a Scotty Cameron Squareback 2. I extended it by a half inch and put on a ping corded grip with 2 extra wraps of tape. I don’t think I’ll ever switch but the ping and an odyssey 7 do make their way into the bag every once in a blue moon. I have three putters that I kinda use; Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2, Ping Anser PSL black, and Scotty Cameron Super Select Square Back 1.5. I tend to favor the Square back SC more these days. Love the milled faces but love the way the SCSB sets up and keeps the ball on line. If greens are real fast, I go with the Ping, real slow the SC Newport. Am not a putter junkie. Have had a number of SC putters. The Notchback was one of my favorites. Think that is why I learned towards the new Squareback. Tried over the years many of the Odyssey style putters (which I sold or gave away) when I was searching for the golden ring, which there is no such thing. Just could not remember that it is the Indian and not the arrow. I do have three other putters in my small collection; a Ping Pal 4 BeCu and two Acushnet Bulls Eye originals. THE GOLF GUY
I posted these on another post but I agree about the Lombardi putter , very clean lines and aesthetics . Again , if I do not like the way a putter looks or feels in my hand , I will not putt well at all . My favorite out of all the putters that I have is my Ping Anser ( that I use 95%of the time ) and a SC Newport Super Select occasionally (when I seem to get stale with the Ping ). Rodney Crispen
I worked through series of Odyssey putters including Rossi, Two Ball Mallet, Two Ball Blade. All of these were either handed down to my kids or lost somewhere in the garage. Although still Odyssey, I got interested in #9. Initial one had white hot insert "with the screen". When the screen came off (design issue), Odyssey replaced it for free with the new at the time (O-Works). I handed this one down to a friend when I bought the Stroke Labs version of the O-Works which I still play. I have a one inch shorter #9 (w/ simple white hot insert) that I practice with in the house. I also have a center shafted aluminium head SeeMore putter. I bought it out of curiosity but in the end did not like it. Looking to trade both practice putters in for a different Stroke Labs (perhaps a Double Wide blade). It seems that Odyssey discontinued the #9 for the time being. I want to try something currently in Stroke Labs line up that will continue in One-AI milled version. Any suggestions are welcome.
