My go to putter has always been a mallet putter. My current everyday putter is the Roll-In Model R4, and I have no idea who made it. I found the Roll-In on ebay while I was poking around for lefthanded putters. After the putters arrival I installed a SuperStroke 5.0 & a round face plate. I've been using the Roll-In very effectively for about 5 years in this form.

That is unique!!! Do they still make the face plate for these?

Just switched to Scotty Cameron Kombi from Odyssey Black #5. SC was a barely used "Mid" I've had around for many years, cut the shaft to 35 and changed to the lightest weights. Regripped it too.

Nice putter!!  Welcome to the forums from the other side of the Cascades!!  I was on a business trip to Battelle Marine Research Lab and I played a course in Sequim (can't remember the name).  I also played Port Ludlow GC which has the distinction of the only golf course where I hit a drive straight down the middle of the fairway and lost my ball.

I only have 5 putters purchased since I started playing golf 32 years ago.  This one is by far the best I have ever used:

Odyssey 2-ball Triple Track is my go to putter.

I tried an Odyssey 2-ball Triple track and started using a line on my ball in 2022.

I was able to putt my ball end over end with regularity, and the line on the ball helps with starting direction.  I now only have to worry about pace when I put.

No questions about it, my go to putter is my Evnroll EV5.3 black. Love the feel of the ball off the face, the confidence that I have standing over putts, and of course the aesthetics.

I started out playing a ping Zing 2 putter from my grandfather. It played at around 36” and I ended up putting a super stroke 3.0 grip on it in high school. I played with that putter for probably 10+ years.

I then upgraded to my current gamer which is a Scotty Cameron Squareback 2. I extended it by a half inch and put on a ping corded grip with 2 extra wraps of tape. I don’t think I’ll ever switch but the ping and an odyssey 7 do make their way into the bag every once in a blue moon.

Play the ping style Anser putter regardless of the Brand.  Best style ever assembled.  I have three putters that I kinda use; Scotty Cameron Special Select Newport 2, Ping Anser PSL black, and Scotty Cameron Super Select Square Back 1.5.  I tend to favor the Square back SC more these days.  Love the milled faces but love the way the SCSB sets up and keeps the ball on line.  If greens are real fast, I go with the Ping, real slow the SC Newport.

Am not a putter junkie.  Have had a number of SC putters.  The Notchback was one of my favorites.  Think that is why I learned towards the new Squareback.  Tried over the years many of the Odyssey style putters (which I sold or gave away) when I was searching for the golden ring, which there is no such thing.  Just could not remember that it is the Indian and not the arrow.  I do have three other putters in my small collection; a Ping Pal 4 BeCu and two Acushnet Bulls Eye originals.  Somethings you just cannot let go, but never play them.

I wander back and forth depending on mood and recent results.  I have a David Musty mallet I had custom made - that's my "feel" putter.  For slower greens I have a Scotty Cameron GoLo5 mallet in black, and the third one is a Scotty Cameron Studio Select1 Mid-Mallet I got at Talamore's Scotty Cameron Weekend a few years back.

My go to putter is my LAB Golf Mezz Max. Best putter I've ever played from the company making the best putters on earth. I've been playing golf for over 30 years and I'm in my 4th year with LAB Golf. I will never use another brand of putter. The nice thing about LAB is that the technology is the same in all of their offerings. These putters will make you a better putter.

Not sure.  It's a great putter especially with the SNSR grip, but I prefer the face on the Odyssey and with the setup and grip, I feel like I'm starting the ball on-line much more consistently.  That, and I've never been one to keep extra clubs around.

I posted these on another post but I agree about the Lombardi putter , very clean lines and aesthetics . Again , if I do not like the way a putter looks or feels in my hand , I will not putt well at all . My favorite out of all the putters that I have is my Ping Anser ( that I use 95%of the time ) and a SC Newport Super Select occasionally (when I seem to get stale with the Ping ). I would love to give that particular Lombardi a “whirl”!!!

I have always liked the small mallet style putters.

I first saw the PING DARBYi in 1999 and fell in love with it. I bought it straight away. It's had six regrips and is on its second shaft after rusting through, but its staying in my bag - this little beauty is just a putting beast on the greens!

I just picked up this guy yesterday and hopefully it will be my go to. I had enough after my putting was crap last week. It's definitely the putters fault and not the knucklehead swinging it.

  • 2 weeks later...

I worked through series of Odyssey putters including Rossi, Two Ball Mallet, Two Ball Blade. All of these were either handed down to my kids or lost somewhere in the garage. Although still Odyssey, I got interested in #9. Initial one had white hot insert "with the screen". When the screen came off (design issue), Odyssey replaced it for free with the new at the time (O-Works). I handed this one down to a friend when I bought the Stroke Labs version of the O-Works which I still play.

I have a one inch shorter #9 (w/ simple white hot insert) that I practice with in the house. I also have a center shafted aluminium head SeeMore putter. I bought it out of curiosity but in the end did not like it. Looking to trade both practice putters in for a different Stroke Labs (perhaps a Double Wide blade).

It seems that Odyssey discontinued the #9 for the time being. I want to try something currently in Stroke Labs line up that will continue in One-AI milled version. Any suggestions are welcome.
