Who has a good phone App?

In the past, I used Golfshot up until 2 yrs ago when I switched to SwingU.  Yesterday SwingU announced an increase of over 60% to their annual subscription.  It is going from $59.99 to $99.99 on the next renewal.  Is there another App that will give you club recommendations based on elevation, wind, temp, etc? Or anything close to that?

From what I've seen the advanced features you're looking for are generally all subscription-based.

Just a thought.. although more expensive but as a one time purchase, maybe consider a laser range finder that has the "Plays Like" yardage feature..?

Subscription is fine but it has to be reasonable, I don't consider $99.99 reasonable

I have tried several last year. I bought the Samsung golf watch, the default app Smart Caddie on that is not good, I tried golf buddy for a bit and we did not get along, finally settled on Golf Pad. Stats are good, seems to work well. Going on my 3rd year with and and happy. I was just playing with Smart Caddie to remember the name and see a bunch of feature updates. Maybe will give that a shot again this year. I belive golf pad is either 29.99 or 39.99 so a good price to. Will link up with golf club tags, keeps track of stats including shots gained, etc. Try it out.

I use GolfPad as well and I like it a lot! It does recommend clubs, gives overviews of holes, etc. I'm in year two with it: it's priced reasonably and the subscription as @Hamviper intimated is also very reasonable!

I have been using golf pad for now over 2 years, they keep adding useful little items and they I have been paying the same $30 for a year.  I also believe once you in with them and keep renewing the y don't raise your price on you!
