This is the first time PXG has ever participated in member testing, and there couldn't be a better product than their newly announced Gen 7 irons and Black Ops irons. About PXG It’s no surprise that PXG is a polarizing brand. Since their inception in 2013, they have been bold and, for some, brash. The evolution of PXG has been fascinating to follow as they transitioned from a boutique, high-priced, exclusive brand to a company offering a range of options with price points that will suit most, if not all, golfers. PXG places significant focus on fitting, ensuring customers have the proper products to get the best performance from their game. This is evident with their various in-store fitting options (at PXG-specific or partner stores) and the option of over-the-phone fittings. PXG also offers their PXG for Heroes program, which provides first looks, discounts, and more for active duty, veterans, first responders, and law enforcement personnel. It is a “Thank You” to all those who have served and is a core pillar of the brand. The PXG Perception As mentioned earlier, PXG is a polarizing brand. This was evident in the 2022 Brand Perception Survey done by MyGolfSpy, where results were varied. PXG ranked high with related words such as Modern, Premium, Engineering, and Innovation, while also ranking high with less positive keywords such as Hype, Follower, and Gimmick. When brands are louder, there will be more people on each side of the fence, compared to those straddling it, which is why these results are not surprising. This brings us to a key point: does it matter? If a product performs or outperforms what is in your bag, will it, or can it, change your perception? Could it make some of those negative associations fade away? Most of you know me by now bc I never shut up, but for the people that don't; I'm Bubba Ivy from a map dot (Robeline) in North/Central Louisiana.. After the divorce I met my long term wife and life partner! We have raised 4 kids together; ages 21, 19, 18, and the baby is 9.. I was a natural athlete in my younger years and even got recruited by a few colleges, but chose to go to work for the family logging business.. After 18 years of that I decided I didn't want to be a business owner so I went to work for the world's largest paper producer, International Paper.. In 2020 a few buddies asked me to go golfing with them and the rest is history! Took a while off in 2022 and 2023 bc my wife was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, but we beat it together and I went right back to golf.. My Game: I'm a self taught 13 handicapper and hoping to be in single digits by summer next year but only time will tell.. Praying inflation lightens up some so I can get a swing coach and perfect the fundamentals of the game.. I'm mainly a driver/ fw woods/hybrid guy but have gotten pretty handy with my short irons (8-pw)..my approach game is strong and anything 160-200 are my favorite shots..it's that 140-160 and certain places where I need to play a long iron over a hybrid that I suffer.. Praying that the fitting turns that around for me, as I want to start playing more irons and leave the hybrids in the bag.. Searching for my Brand: PXG has been my go to brand since I got out of my "starter set." I started with a top flight set from Dick's for $300 to get my feet wet and see if I would like the sport.. After 9 holes and that debate ended I started doing research on a decent driver..I didn't know brands at the time and all the big brands kept popping up..a couple months later into my research the brand new PXG 0211 driver came out and the more I read about the company and what they do for vets and first responders, I was sold! PXG the best for the 1 percenters?: I've never minded a company saying they are the best at what they do.. Hell, I respect it! It takes guts to stand out and not blend in.. I've always heard PXG is for the rich but I've only been playing since the 0211 line has been out and dollar for dollar it beats any cavity back club I've ever played! Will Black Ops have a permanent home? For the Black Ops to make my bag they will have to be longer with more apex than my xcor2.. I'm a PXG fanatic but I'm happy with my irons so it's gonna take real numbers for me to pull them out and put them in the closet! Just so you know: Just bc I love the PXG brand doesn't guarantee these clubs to get high numbers.. I wasn't a Vice fan going into the Vice Pro ball test and was pleasantly surprised.. The product was great enough to change my mind! That door swings both ways.. If the clubs don't live up to the hype, you spies will be the first to know! Don't want y'all buying something bc I gave a good review to something that doesn't deserve it! The PXG Dallas Store: I arrived an hour early to PXG Dallas to check the place out and to get a feel for everybody working.. First, the cashier got me a bottle of water and showed me around the showroom floor.. Extremely nice young man and knowledgeable about the products he was selling! The Fitting Manager came out to the floor about 15 min after I arrived and I picked his brain a little over his products and the "old" reputation of PXG being for the "financially sound".. We all know he can't answer for Mr. Parsons but he did have some insight on the matter.. He believes Mr Parsons just wanted to make the best club available, no matter the cost.. In business we all know making less means paying more so the club sold at a higher price.. After COVID golf caught the interest of millions, he wanted to make it affordable for your "everyday Joe", so in comes the 0211 model and the rest is history! The Fitting: Let's start this off with the bad parts or "the low points" of this fitting session... They brought me to the fitting room that had 3 bays.. I was talking with my fitter but also listening in on the other two fitting sessions and could tell immediately this was gonna be detailed! My fitter (Jay) walked with me to the first stall and asked me what I wanted out of my irons.. After a brief discussion I let him know I'm mainly a hybrid/fw woods guy but wanted more distance and consistency from my iron play.. Within 3 swings he spotted the problem! I'm a big guy and built like a retired NFL linebacker that enjoys chips and beer and have just over 11" hands.. Apparently my stance wasn't great bc I was bent over to far and reaching for the ball, and holding my grip much to tight bc of playing the wrong size grip.. Since I'm self taught and haven't been playing all that long I'm open to any suggestions, and he definitely had a few! As he went to digging thru shafts, i kept hacking away.. Jay grabbed the longest shaft he had on location (elevate 95st +1 1/2 I think) and pointed where he wanted me to hit on the screen.. In that moment something clicked.. What to this point had just been another average run of the mill iron all the sudden felt great! It felt better then ordering fries at Burger King and getting an onion ring buried in the middle! My misses even felt good! For a few swings I felt like I could tee off on a par 5 550 yards with a 7 iron and be on in two (obviously not the case but that's how it felt!) Jay had me try a few more shafts and while a couple felt decent I just couldn't get my mind off of the elevate shaft.. By this time we are 70 swings in and I'm getting tired but wanted to hit the longer shaft 1 more round.. While running out of gas I got my longest one of the day/ 162 yards with a 107 ball speed.. Might not be much for some of y'all but I was proud, and tired! After everything was said and done I think we decided on +2 1/2 length true temper elevate 1 weak loft and Jay gave me 3 "business cards" (a poker chip ball marker with his name and phone number) and the fitting manager came out to ask how everything went.. Extremely professional place and highly recommended! I will be back and I want the exact same experience..I found my fitter! Unboxing/First Impression: 10/10 PXL_20240819_235008013.mp4 There, in my humble opinion, is no other way to grade this! PXG has trained people in how they want these clubs packaged.. Crazy!! I went to the local park to do my unboxing and tried for 10 min to replicate putting them back in the box and couldn't do it.. Every club it fit snug so nothing rubs and the clubs come to u flawless! PXL_20240819_235022197.mp4 I haven't measured yet but think they are only 1 1/2" longer than stock, which I think I prefer.. The oversize grips feel great and the club itself is a masterpiece! Arrived on time, well package, and not one single flaw on any club; can't think of one reason to deduct a point for.. Would give it a 12/10 if possible.. This should make other companies step there game up! Great job PXG! I have a pretty decent swing averaging 83 mph with a 7 iron but not a near enough "sweet spot" consistent hitter, which makes me perfect to tell the readers if the forgiveness is taking away from the distance! Hopefully Marc, Joe, and myself can get to the bottom of this whole forgiveness vs yards ideology and see if these are in fact the clubs that have it all! I want to express my deepest gratitude to MGS for selecting me as a tester for the PXG Black Ops Irons! I am thrilled and honored to have this opportunity to contribute to our community of testers and readers. I am committed to giving my best to ensure the test is thoughtful and honest. I struggle with consistency, so I will certainly put the Black Ops Irons to the test! Introduction: My name is Marc and I'm a United States Marine Veteran proudly living in the Syracuse, NY area. I served on active duty from 1993 to 2000, specializing as a Field Radio Operator – you know, the guy who's often the first in the line of fire. But I didn't stop there; I also had the incredible opportunity to be a Marksmanship instructor at Parris Island. Yes, that meant I got to wear the iconic Smokey the Bear cover and passionately shout "instructions" at the recruits. Those were the days! I was stationed in some amazing places, including California (twice), Parris Island, South Carolina, and even Okinawa, Japan. While in Japan, we embarked on exciting "floats" (basically naval vessel taxi rides) to South Korea, Thailand, and Australia. My time in the Corps was truly something special. However, in 2000, I was medically discharged, and that's when my lovely wife, Jennifer, and I decided to return to our roots here in Syracuse. We've been happily married since 1995, and our family has grown to include two wonderful adult kids, now 28 and 26 years old. My kids were born here: One at Parris Island, the other @ Camp Pendleton. Now – Golf stuff…… PXG Company Perception: PXG, we know, is a polarizing brand - unfiltered - too brash, too loud, all flash no game, too expensive, only for the elite etc….Well, I don’t see it that way. I have an overall positive view of PXG. Bob Parsons is a Marine (A+ in my book) and does a lot in the community for Veterans and First Responders. The Heroes program at PXG gives great discounts to those groups. For those who think PXG is all flash, this is a clear example that marketing isn’t always the end-all be-all of a company. That said, the marketing is "meh" for me. Originally, I thought PXG was a joke for the over-the-top expensive clubs that performed as well as many less expensive options. I’m not a traditionalist, but the LOUD stuff isn’t my cup of tea…That said, performance rules the day. I don’t care if the irons are lime green with purple polka dots…if they work, they work. My opinion of PXG is they are a good OEM with promising equipment. I was fitted for a Black Ops Driver and it was amazing. The only reason I didn’t purchase it was because I had been fitted at Club Champion a year prior into a Rogue ST Max (and a hefty price tag). Since I am doing this test on the Irons…I may end up pulling the trigger on the driver. Man…that thing was NICE! About my game: I've been swinging clubs since 1995 and instantly fell in love with the game. Back at Parris Island, I had the privilege of playing 9 holes most days, and my golf game improved dramatically. I truly felt like a golfer. I continue to play as much as possible here in Syracuse. I have a foursome of buddies who I golf with every week. But, as life went on, my game seemed to degrade almost in lockstep with the rest of my aging body (Thanks, Uncle Sam). Nevertheless, I continue to embrace the sport with enthusiasm and determination. My distance and consistency are no more, however I long to get those back. I cannot wait to challenge the Black Ops Irons to see how it can help me and other golfers who struggle with consistency! I am great from 100 yds in...but getting there is a whole different story! Currently rocking a solid 80-95 score range. My misses are mostly straight left pulls and the occasional slice. I have been working on my game a lot and have found better consistency lately. My Titleist T300s from 2021 are finally working (haha). I have gained about 20 yards due to my grinding. I am planning to do the test outdoors on the course, range, home range/net with my Garmin R10, and a Trackman to use for a baseline. Like many of you, I'm a data guy. I can't wait to see where these stack up. Numbers will spill the beans. If I see improvement (with a mix of data and gut feeling), they are a winner. If not (within the time limit), maybe it's more grind or they aren’t my type of irons. I was also fit for Gen6 XP irons, but they performed the exact same as my T300s. The lofts were jacked. The PXG Gen6 6 iron was the same loft as my Titleist 7 iron. The felt great, but the value proposition was not there from a performance perspective. I loved the double chrome look, for sure. When I hit the 0211s (the BO will replace the 0211 line) I did not like the feel. These new irons are supposed to fix that problem with the 0211s. I promise you an honest, thoughtful review. I count on this community for my research, and I'll pay it forward. Cheers! Fitting: The fitting process was great and we were able to do it on grass with a Trackman. I hope to be able to pull some numbers from the Trackman to show everyone. The process to get to the fitting was easy. PXG reached out and scheduled me for 8/16. Since I knew the fitter from a previous engagement, I reached out to him and he rescheduled for today. As always, he was fantastic to work with. We both love golf equipment and the science of it, so we click pretty well. There were no restrictions on the fitting regarding shaft type, cost, or grip selection. My fitter was thorough to ensure the fitting was done correctly, and to my satisfaction. A+ effort! This was my view today. It was a beautiful day in Central NY. Temp at the start was 79 degrees. 5 mins in....I was sweating. I can't complain when we get nice days up here.... My fitter came with bags and bags of shafts to work with. Since there is not a permanent PXG location here, he travels all around Upstate NY, on a weekly basis, to fit golfers. Watertown, to Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. God bless him. One negative to note, is that he does not have a loft and lie machine. I think this could have helped me a bit. My T300s all have custom lies. Everything below are my initial thoughts about the irons from the fitting. I don't want to go too far, since we were hopping between shafts and wouldn't be fair to give a full analysis with data at this point. I also took 90+ swings, so performance dipped towards the end. ____________ Feel: The Black Ops feel much better than the 0211, in my opinion. I found the 0211s to be a bit clicky and harsh, compared to my T300s. The Black Ops felt nice and the ball popped off the face. They feel just as good, if not a little better than my T300s. Feel is completely subjective, so take that for what it's worth. Man, when you flush one though - Pow-Zoom-Zing (Old Batman reference for you young people). Looks: The size of the sole and top line were off-putting at first. That is a thick top line. I was surprised because PXG usually rounds the top more. Per the fitter, the Black Ops iron is purposely designed this way to cater to a game improvement crowd. If that was the point, they met the mark. I prefer a GI iron that looks like a players distance iron. The difference really started me off down the wrong path mentally....but that's why they play the game. Hit the darn things!! (The worst part of my game is the space between my ears....I'm sure NONE of you know what that feels like ) (Black Ops on the left, T300 on the right, below) FITTING: Since we had my profile already, we tried the the $-taper-Lite and a KBS steel shaft to start. My swing has changed since our last visit, so these just didn't work like before. The weight of the head and light steel shafts seemed too flimsy. He then put me in the KBSTGI 80 in the performance jumped off of the page. The first 3 shots I had carried over 155 yards, and were straight. I was surprisingly fit for a standard length and lie. I am only 5'5 and always end up with a flat lie and a shorter shaft. I am currently in a C-Taper-Lite R 105 shaft. The preconceived notion of what I would be fit into was destroyed. That said, the numbers don't lie (right?). The main thing I noticed with this head/shaft combo was I didn't have to swing hard to get the distance. I actually had to back off a bit to get the performance I wanted. Not going full-bore will be WONDERFUL. The 7 iron loft of the black ops is similar in loft to the 6 iron loft on my Titleist T300. I was averaging more carry distance, more height, and a better descending angle with over 7000+ spin with the 7 iron. For me, this was amazing. I can’t wait to get the full set so I can use it during a real round rather than rapid fire shots on a range. As most of you know, chucking shots down range rapidly gets exhausting...fast. So far, I have been impressed with the ease of engagement with PXG, the fitter's flexibility and knowledge, and the iron performance during one session. He placed the order before I got to my car and I received the order confirmation within seconds. FITTING TL; DR The fitting went very well. The iron performance is promising, but knowing my golf swing, these irons will be put to the test for sure. Since I am the target audience for these clubs, we will see if PXG lives up to the hype. UNBOXING Initial thoughts - Beautiful and sturdy packing. This is an area where PXG excels. The clubs were very secure and the box was in great shape. Opening the actual PXG box was exciting and the irons are very good looking. Nice and clean looking box. Very well packaged. Every iron head was wrapped in bubble wrap. The box was stuffed with custom sized form to prevent movement during shipping. I hope all other OEMs take note, if they dont ship like this already. Here is the layout once out of the box! Minor detail, but something I appreciate...the shaft labels are all in the same place. First Impressions 9/10: As noted above, I enjoyed the fitting process because I love golf equipment and the science behind the gear. My fitter was responsive, informative, and knowledgeable. I have documented some of my struggles, and PXG was all over it. They have offered to have me do a fit check to make sure I'm set up correctly. That said.....and let's be honest, I'm the problem, It's me. (Apologies to any Swfties out there). The shafts are a little longer than my current ones and I have found this to be a challenge. That said, when I make solid contact, the ball ROCKETS off of the club face. Additionally, I have seen a ton of forgiveness. I hit a 9 iron 133 yards, straight, with a draw, after making contact where the groves stop. Yes - THERE! Back to your regularly scheduled review: To catch you all up - The 4i tab is actually my 5i. I lost the 5i tab, so I substituted the 4 to rep the 5. Make sense? OK, good. For Shot Scope tracking, the data in light blue below is called the P-AVG. Basically, this is the playing average (What is the distance club should be used for which distance, based on your performance) The P-AVG tells me a couple of things.... I can actually hit a 5iron. The longest 5i for me was 197 yards. If you follow along with the virtual tour, you would know that my driver doesn't go that far. That's a whole other story. Having confidence to hit a 5 iron is huge for me. I have gaps between the 5 and 6 and the 9, Wedge, and GAp. Part of this is due to the lack of shots hit with the 9 and wedge. This is only 3 rounds of data, so much more to come. The data below is the overall average for the Black Ops irons for my rounds with them. As you can see, I am struggling with certain clubs, and not others. All this means is I need to keep grinding. Again, I cannot thank PXG and MGS enough for offering to do a fit check. We all know that average golfers can turn into a shank-o-potamus, especially when using new clubs. I took away one point, due to the struggles I have had, but I cannot blame the clubs. Thank you MGS for giving me this opportunity and the work you do to provide these opportunities to the forum! Thank you to PXG for trusting the forum to test these new irons! I'm very excited to test out the brand new PXG Black Ops Irons which were released today (8/7)! Intro My name is Joe and I'm married with two little boys, 5 and 3. We live in San Diego where I'm spoiled when it comes to golf. I almost exclusively play Torrey Pines which is a huge benefit to being a San Diego city resident. I am also a Gold Star brother which is somewhat important to this test. My brother, LCpl James W. Higgins Jr. was killed while serving in Iraq on 27 July 2006. Being a Gold Star brother has defined much of my life over the past 18 years. When I'm not with my family or trying to get in a round of golf, I'm running in races to honor my brother and our fallen heroes. I am currently training for the Marine Corps Marathon in October. What's In My Bag & PXG Perception I am currently have several PXGs in my bag. Im playing the PXG Gen5 3 wood, 0211 22 degree hybrid, and the 2022 XCOR2 5-GW. The Gen5 3 wood is probably my favorite club in the bag. I feel like its one of my most consistent clubs. The 0211 22 hybrid is probably my least favorite club. I cannot seem to hit it consistently, I dont like how it looks at approach, and I feel like the ball just dies in the air whenever I do hit it. I have really enjoyed the XCOR2s so far and really interested to see how the new Black Ops compare. My driver is the Callaway EPIC Max LS which I selected based on MGS testing and Taylormade R-Series 54 and 60 degree wedges. As you can probably guess, I have a rather positive view of PXG. I'm a big supporter of our military, first responders, and law enforcement and I love how PXG backs this community. It's what drew me into their brand. They have a heroes program where those who dedicate their lives to the protection of others get discounts on pretty much everything they sell and through their heroes first program, they get first access to newly released clubs. Now, this very positive view I have of the brand doesn't blind me to everything they do. I loved the Gen5 and XCOR2s that I have but don't like the 0211 hybrids. I had the 19 degree as well and sold it. I like their glove but I don't fully buy into the hype of their ball. I'm also not a fan of their ridiculously expensive apparel line. I participated in their Gen6 driver challenge but was not impressed with how the fitting went. My Golf Game and the Test I started playing golf around 2008 and probably peaked in 2010/2011 when I was playing weekly. I didnt play more than a round of golf, if any golf at all per year from 2015 -2021. I got back into golf in 2022 and have been trying to get out more consistently. I mostly play back 9s at Torrey North but have been working in more twilight rounds as well. The back 9s tend to work best for me so I can minimize the amount of time I'm out playing on the weekends. I plan to test the Black Ops irons on the course and at the range. I dont have a shot tracker right now but I found a range that does have SkyTrak available so I plan to make some trips there to get some numbers. As of now, Garmin has my handicap at 21.1 so I'm squarely in the high handicap category. I'm hoping these clubs will aid me in dropping my handicap over the next couple of months. I'm not expecting a drastic drop but the first step will be to get below 21 and work down from there. Here are my stats for the past year with the XCOR2s. In order to make my bag, the Black Ops Irons will have to outperform the XCOR2 irons im currently gaming. I have high expectations for these clubs and will be grading them on how well they perform for me and if they live up to the PXG hype. The Fitting This is a summary, a more in-depth review can be found in this post: Fitting Post I'm lucky enough that PXG opened a brand new store in San Diego just a few days before my fitting. Setting up the fitting was fairly easy and straightforward. I received an email from PXG offering multiple days and times to schedule and was able to book a fitting within 48 hours from the first time I was contacted. The PXG store is located across the street from MCAS Miramar which I find fitting for a company that devotes itself to honoring those who serve in military, as well as first responders and law enforcement. The store is nicely set up with apparel and their latest clubs. They have 2 bays for fittings. The day before my fitting, I am called by PXG San Diego to confirm my fitting and go over some pre-evaluation questions. They asked me to bring my bag and arrive at least 15 minutes before my scheduled time to warm up, asked about where I typically play, what I was interested in, and what I wanted to get out of the fitting. Now it's the day of the fitting. I make sure to have my bag in my car before I leave for work and get to PXG San Diego 20 minutes before my fitting time. I wanted to get there early to take a look around and warm up as instructed the day before. I walk in with my clubs and I'm greeted within a minute. They take my clubs, set them near the putting green and inform me that it'll be about 20 minutes til I can get into the bay and warm up. I look at their board and see that they have fittings booked every hour for both bays. Not a problem but a little surprised I was told less than 24 hours prior to be early to warm up. So I take a look around at their apparel, hit a few putts with the Battle Ready II Apache and whoa do I want that putter! That thing was AWESOME! But we're not here to go over my few putts so on to the fitting. Right at 2, I get into my fitting in bay 1. Met with a digital screen and some motivational quotes such as "You've never played like this before." The motivational quotes didnt work for me. I hit terribly ans couldn't close the face to save my life. I think I figured out I am not a fan of indoor fittings. As you can see from the photos, the lights just shine right down on you and it made me utterly uncomfortable. But on went the fitting. I started with a brief warm up. The fitter wasn't present for my warmup. Then when the fitter came around we got started. Maybe 4 or 5 minutes after I entered. I went through the entire fitting with the 7 iron. We went through 4 different steel shafts and 1 graphite. The graphite only lasted about 2 or 3 swings before the fitter pulled it. We narrowed it down to the KBS 95 R vs the Tru Temper 115 R. My current XCOR2s have the KBS Tour 120 Stiff shafts. The Tru Temper Dynamic Gold MID 115 Regular was the winner based on the feedback of the fitter. I hit about 47 total shots during my fitting and the fitting lasted less than 35 minutes though it was scheduled for 1 hour. Here's a shot of some of my stats from the fitting. Certainly not my best showing and I believe that came through. Overall, I believe the fitting was fair and got me into the best shafts for my swing. They had easily over 100 shafts for the fitters to go through. Unboxing I think I'll let the video speak for itself! Untitled (3).mp4 The clubs arrived much earlier than expected. PXG has been on top of their game from day one and they have been incredibly quick with everything so far. My fitting was booked within 48 hours of the first time they contacted me. I was told my clubs would arrive in 5 to 7 business days. They arrived in just 3 days (fitting on Wednesday, clubs arrived Saturday)! Once out of the cardboard shipping box, one finds a black box with PXG in the center. Each club is held in place with cardboard and a bubble wrap head cover is on each club. The clubs are very well protected in the packaging. I take them out and man do they look good! I cannot wait to get these clubs to the range and on the course! First Impression: 8 out 10 The Black Ops irons are PXGs first true Game Improvement irons. PXG states: Introducing new PXG Black Ops Irons – our first Game Improvement Irons. Featuring XCOR2 Technology, innovative dual cavity design, and a high strength, ultra-thin Maraging steel club face, Black Ops Irons deliver superior forgiveness, explosive distance, extreme ball speed, and a feel that may be even better than forged. Easy to hit Black Ops Irons maximize performance, confidence, and fun. The Black Ops has a cleaner look than the XCOR2s but is bulkier which is expected of a true Game Improvement iron. In direct comparison to the XCOR2s, the sound of the Black Ops irons is better on contact but the feel and distance is about the same. The Black Ops have a larger profile which is clearly visible at approach. Not a particularly issue for me and I assume most of the target consumer for Game Improvement irons. PXG claims that these clubs offer superior forgiveness and explosive distance. I've played 9 holes and hit 100 balls at the range, comparing the XCOR2s to the Black Ops. Here are my stats from my 9 holes in comparison to a year with the XCOR2s. Black Ops is on the left and XCOR2 on the right. I was more accurate with the XCOR2s than the Black Ops. The Black Ops were also not quiet as long as the XCOR2s. I gave minus 2 points for these stats since the Black Ops were not quiet as accurate on approach or as long. Only time will tell if the numbers from the Black Ops can out perform the 2022 XCOR2s. The 5 iron was about the same as the XCOR2. Each of the other clubs that I hit were shorter than the XCOR2s. While I was at the driving range, the distances seemed very similar for each club I would hit. I tried to do direct comparisons, hitting the XCOR2s 5 times then switching to the Black Ops in the same club. The Black Ops had a higher trajectory but the distance seemed the same.
