Just got an email from a local course (one of the best in the area open to the public) that they now have Golf Boards for use as an alternative to carts!  Check this out--  

 

Looks like fun (and practical?).  Has anyone heard of or seen these??

Nonchalant putts count the same as chalant putts.

Remember the discussion on how to make the game more attractive for the young 'uns?  Seems to me this might interest a few!

We have a course near Bend, OR called Tetherow that is using them. Might be OK on a flat course, but some of the mountain courses I play would result in hospital visits.

I have tried to get one of these type of "carts" from multiple vendors for review. I can see some people forgetting the golf and just enjoying the ride with the skates. That and some bunker jumping :(

I've found out that one course in my state, SunRiver in St. George, has four for rent.  When I get down this winter, I'll make a point to go rent one and post a review.  That course is rather flat, so I won't kill myself.

Foz--just got an email back!  NO additional charge!  Pretty good deal, since their all inclusive tee times this time of year are $25-38 pp Monday-Thurs and $41-58 Fri-Sun.  May have to try it next week!

There are 3 courses that are within 45 min of the shop here that have these available to rent. (found out yesterday) Sounds like the fee is in the neighborhood of $25 for 18 holes.  You can bet that I am going to be making a trip to one of these places as soon as the rain stops.....  In June.

I actually might like the Golf Skate Caddy better.  A little storage for stuff and, the key thing, is that little seat.  I need to sit down occasionally to give my back a break!

The Golf Skate Caddy is $4,100 as opposed to the Golf Board's $6,500.   That's a BIG differential.  Do the features of each merit the gap?   How heavy do these things need to be to keep the top-heavy bags from tipping the whole thing over?

Wow! I'm surprised they have them at SunRiver. I've played that course and if I remember correctly, there are a few holes with A LOT of elevation change from tee to fairway. The cart path was very steep! I wonder if the have an ambulance standing by.
