Looks like perfect golfing weather.  However, take a look at what we have coming up for the next 10 days here in the great Pacific Northwest (on the dry side of the Cascades)!!!  And everyone thinks we get a lot of rain in Washington!  So far this year, we have had 3.2 inches... period!

I got in about 14 at MoWilly yesterday after work hit a drive on number 11 (par 5) with the big downhill. Had it been typical June weather I would have actually carried to the start of the change in levels and would have easily made the down slope. Instead it died about 10 feet from where it hit. Can't wait for fairways to dry out a little here.

Pff. 105-110 this week. Dew points will be in the 60's by Friday/Saturday. July and August down here are brutal to say the least.

I don't enjoy playing in humid climates. Or, at least when the humidity is high. I'll play in the early spring or the fall after the humidity has dried up. Therefore most of my travels focus on the spring and fall around Texas and other parts of the country. Rest of the time I stick closer to home where it's dry.

No we can't.  Several of the golf courses I have played recently are showing some signs of stress from the heat.  Couple in particular with old style watering systems (middle of fairway out)...the rough is looking shall we say rough.  Very burned out.  For all the rain we had early on...we are just getting nothing to speak of now.  We had a tremendous storm blow thru last week which resulted in quite a bit of damage in my neighborhood (trees downed on cars and fences, fences blown over, damage to roofs, etc) but rainfall...not even an inch.

I feel your pain, we've had to replant our watermelon 3 times this year and now the irrigation pump went out but at least I got a spot to practice bunker blasts.

The rain is still here Jax, we are just sharing for now.  My lawn service was able to come for the first time in 3 weeks today and even then they left some tracks in the back yard.  It's so miserable here that I'm contemplating not even trying to play on Friday.  I have a huge week of golf next week.  I hope I can make it through okay.

Last weekend played in 115 degrees. This weekend should be in the mid 100's. Just have to find a course I want to play.
