My wife has been somewhat of a golf widow, but she's been known to play occasionally. But I've been trying to get her to play more recently. She asked me yesterday to take her to the range today. "There are some things I want to work on".

It's nice to have my wife out playing with me.  She's gotten better since we play all the time.  She has been playing since 1963, but really got serious after we met 12 years ago.  Her handicap went from 26 to 17, and if I have a bad round and she has a good round, she will beat me (happened twice).  We love traveling together and all of our trips are golf related.  However, the cost of playing is now double!!

 

Best of luck... but get someone else to give her instruction!!

Very good.  My wife started playing right after we got married and got pretty good relatively quickly (mostly due to the fact that I was not her teacher).  Once our first son was born she has maybe touched a club twice in the last ten years.  Now I go to the club and play or hit balls and she uses the cabana we rented at the beach that is part of my club.  Not sure which was better for me?
