Thanks. Still in construction and not open for a few years but I have managed to fly under the radar in town for the last two years. Now I have a direct role in the project and will be announced as the CFO in a few days time. No more flying under the radar for me.

My man! I used to know the secretary to the president of MGM and always got hooked up through that. Used to spend a bunch of time in Vegas for bowling tournaments. My wife has never been and I want to take her in the next couple years (2017 is bad with us expecting our 2nd kid).

Thanks. I am actually filling a role that is needed at the property level but also will continue to serve as the corporate CFO for our North American companies for the next 12 months at least. I will be out there part time for the next few months then it will ramp up. I am still keeping home base on Long Island and have flights east built into my agreement.

 

 

Give me a shout when you are out here and I will get both of you a drink or 12.

Somewhat. I am actually currently the CFO of the entire company in the Americas and oversee the finance departments as a whole and raise a lot of capital ($1'.9B in the last 2 years) but our LV project is surely the crown jewel of the company in the US.

 

May have a bit of a change coming my way that negates all of this as I was just told I am in the running for the President of one of our properties as well as Chairman of the Board in the US. In true company fashion it was a quick notice and I was sitting at a bar in LAX trying to get enough vodka in my system before my red eye to NY. What I can say is that I am not against anyone else and it is pretty much mine if I give the word, but need to discuss with my wife. The plus side is less travel and more coin in my pocket as well as running the highest grossing slot casino in the world. The downside is missing out on the development activity that I really enjoy doing as well as working at multiple properties.

 

Lots to discuss with the family this weekend but overall the worst case scenario is that I come out better than I was a week ago...which was not bad at all.

 

The real ironic part is when I got promoted to property CFO I was at a bar drinking. When I got promoted to company CFO I was well at a bar in Vegas having a few drinks. And this time I was well at a bar getting primed for a red eye.
