I had an unexpected call in November about having a credit at TGW. I have no clue how I accumulated a credit there however I was not going to argue the point. Getting a little older now and it's probably something I returned way back and forgot about it. Anyways being a hybrid player over fairway woods, I decided to try the Cobra one length 19 degree hybrid. It had some interesting reviews so I thought what da heck, let's go for it since I have the credit. When I received the thing it looked like some kids club since it's a 7 iron length! I thought to myself, there is no way I can game this little turd. I chunked it in the bag and took off to the course. The first thing I did was grab a bucket of balls and headed to the range for a little warm up. After a few iron shots I pulled out the little rascal for a few whacks. Wowser the little fart was freaking pounding the ball out there straighter than a roll of toilet paper! I kept looking around me to see if anyone was watching me hit this kids length hybrid. After a while I didn't give a rats arse because I was pumping out my chest like a male rooster in a pen full of chicks. The darn thing is stupid easy to hit and the short length didn't cause any problems for me. I'm 6'2" tall so you would have thunk it would have caused a case of tops. Not a problem and now I take pride in having a secret weapon in my bag! I suppose the credit from TGW was a nice surprise from Santa as it sure make this ole man smile like a boy eating his first sweet potato pie.

Posted over in my other thread that I built a set of sticks for Kirke for Christmas. I saved it for his last present, because he could see it was a golf club shaped box and the anticipation was killing him. As soon as he opened it, he grabbed all three to head to the basement to swing. His actual words: "See ya!" So I got out the radar and he did his first protocol. Top speed with each club: 62, 56, 51. He'll turn six on Saturday. He has another golf present coming that is going to blow him away, but I'll post that later.

I'll actually be doing a protocol tomorrow since I did one yesterday, went to the range today, and am playing golf Wednesday. Played yesterday again, just 9 holes, from blacks. It was like I’ve never hit a golf ball before in my life. Well, not quite that bad, but I had a few shots that were just what the heck? but then I had a few holes that were like I was a tour dude... this game...

Monday is my protocol day, but I did it yesterday and resting around the Christmas tree today and tomorrow. Headed home on Wednesday, and my protocol that day will be in the late afternoon. First one late in the day. We will see... Merry Christmas everyone!

One good thing about it is that it'll get better. It's awkward - really, really, awkward at first and then it's more natural. I don't know about hitting a ball with it. I think if I could find a cheap left handed driver I might try. Glad you got a SuperSpeed set, I'm looking forward to reading about your experience with them. Congrats Blackngold! Excellent year and thank you to all who have played. I look forward to being back in full force next year! Big shoutout to @GolfSpy STUDque one more time for coming on to co-commish this year. He honestly did more than I did with the league this season. Especially down the stretch. Until next year, I'll see those of you who want a shot at the champ in the Official MGS Fantasy Golf League. You're gonna have to pry the title from my cold lifeless golf glove!

I honestly hadn't walked a course since high school until this last august. Got to play the Jubilee Course @ St. Andrews and had to walk 18 since that was the course rules. I wasn't sure if I could handle walking that much as I am not it the best shape of my life (Luckily Round is still a shape)! I was able to handle it no problem and have since decided that I am going to walk more this year. I do like @chisag idea of alternating holes. I think that would be a good way to start the process of walking this year.

A couple of Canadian buds came to the US on a snowbird golf trip. Unfortunately, one of them took ill and had to be admitted into a hospital. Upon leaving his room after treating him, a nurse reported to a fellow nurse. That Canadian patient has Swan tattooed on his pecker. Well, the other nurse couldn't resist going in to see. A while later, she comes out and says: That tattoo doesn't say Swan, it says Saskatchewan.

Played solo for the first time in probably 20 plus years at a small exec. that I play regularly. Had a bizarre round. *Hit every green on the short par 3's (160 and under). There are 7 of them. Usually I bounce off the fringe or find sand on a few of the smaller greens. Missed every birdie putt, which isn't really a surprise. *Wasn't even close to finding the right club/swing on the longer par 3's (175-200). There are 3 of them. *Hit the worst slice I've ever hit with the G400. *Hit 2 hooks with my hybrid. I've sliced the heck out of shots but I've never hit a hook in my life. *Couldn't get out of the sand, which I had been doing well. *Found water twice, which I hadn't been doing. *40 putts - 4 penalties. *9 pars, 3 bogeys, which means I went +21 ON 6 FREAKIN' HOLES! Love TSO. Wife and I went to one of their concerts on a whim and bought tix at the venue. We were in the second to last row in the theater with a sprinkler pipe in our direct line of view. When we got to our seats these two gorgeous blondes walked up to us and said "we are with the band and we wanted to thank you for coming out tonight we would like to move you to the front row!" It was an amazing visceral experience, we could feel the heat of the flash pots and the bass notes where pounding us in the chest! A night to remember. To this day we both get tears when we hear an Old City Bar.

5 days after surgery.....I drove to the club for some Christmas cheer with my friends even though I could not yet play. Brought homemade cookies for the bartender and waitresses. Thanks Rob! He won't be home for Christmas as he is already at Ft Pope however he gets to come home Dec 29th - 4th. He also gets to drive his car back so he will have his wheels with him which is essential at that Post. Merry Christmas back at ya good buddy!

We got a nice 13 with 40mm of rain and 80km/hr winds today. Not sure if it beats the -20 with windchill... But means there could be a few courses opening up if it doesn't get cold again!

Trying to get some holes in before surgery next week. Daughter is home from college and drove the cart for me yesterday. Soggy and upper 40s. Never scored so no idea bur some good ones and some bad ones. Another 18 today. Timing was great. Missed the rain minus a light shower on 18. Hit 2 OB on one for a 9, bogey, bogey, then ran off a string of pars and a birdie. Back waa much more consistent. Didnt score it but pleased with my play considering not playing much and the swing is a struggle to find at times.

Played again today with my younger friend and of course he was all about the tips, around 6400 yds. And good lord it was cold in the morning, I mean 42°! shot a 7 over 77, so not my best day. But it was fun playing with my best golf buddy again so I consider it a great day...

Finally got my hands on an attas coool shaft. Now just need to figure out if I snag a Tm m1/2 head or re tip it for my g400
