dru_
So I got out to play 9 after work. 46 degrees and sunny without a breath of wind. fairways were hard as rocks, but the greens weren't too bad. That said, the water hazards were all frozen solid still. Still monkeying around with wedges, so I only shot a 44, but it made for a nice almost 3 mile walk this afternoon. dru_
Golf balls make the most interesting noise when they hit the ice and bounce To be fair, I don't actually land that one on the ice. It was a random pinnacle I found in the rough on the prior hole. Figured it would be a fun picture so I rolled it out there. dru_
Of course landing on the ice would have meant hitting the fade I was trying to, not the draw I ended up hitting (into the green side bunker). Did I mention that slightly frozen sand is an interesting wedge shot? Oh I didn't did I. It is, and I got to do it 3 times in 9 holes. BIG STU
It has been absolutely crazy for this area this week. We had 2 nights it was down to 19* without the wind chill factor. Everyone thought I would be busy in the towing business with the temps and all but just the opposite . Down here people tend not to go out any in real cold weather. I live about 1/2 mile from the ocean and with the wind and dampness it has been terrible. It did warm up today but I did not go out because I pulled a double shift with people out sick yesterday and got sick myself so I have been home nursing a heck of a head/sinus cold Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- - 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R---- Irons 5 thru PW 1980 Macgregor VIP Hogan Apex steel shafts--- SW -- Cleveland 588 56* S-400 Sensicore --- LW Vokey 58* SM5 L grind--- Putter 1997 Scotty Cameron Santa Fe Fluted Bulls Eye shaft--- Bag TM Flex Lite Stand---- Yeah I know only 11 clubs G
ronnewman
That original post is hilarious. How dare it drop all the way down to 75, Might have to put pants on or something. This is funny to me because I haven't seen anything above 60 in more than 4 months. The weather this year has been crazy compared to the past few years. We have seen more snow already this year than we have in the past 5 years. It has also been incredibly cold this year. People are complaining, and I cannot even argue that it has been crazy, but when we get back to 75 people will be complaining about how hot it is. Say what you need to say with Embroidered Shirts!
