Langstonha
I bought a snell sample pack. 5/06/2024= played nine with the snell prime 2.0 and nice with the 3.0 today. The 2.0 is longer but doesn't have as much spin as the 3.0. Both balls wear very well. Hit the cart path several times and neither ball had noticable marks. I'm going to test the 4.0 on Wednesday. So far I love the balls for the price. The 2.0 reminds me of a srixon super soft and the 3.0 an AVX. Popular Post daver920
Did a Studio fitting at my local PGA Superstore earlier this week for a new driver. Really impressed with the fitter who saw my relatively new current driver and said he wasn't sure whether or not I'd be leaving with a new stick. I'm sure that's a line he uses all the time but I genuinely believed him. But since I'm posting in this forum, you probably already know I didn't leave empty handed. I got fit into a new Ai Smoke Max D, 10.5 degrees with a stiff Tensei Blue shaft. It beat out the 430 Max 10k and the Qi10 Max. After it became apparent it was the winner, he had me hit a few more with my original just to confirm the results weren't generated by being adequately warmed up/in the zone. Again, very impressed with the fitter. They didn't have those specs in stock since I'm a lefty, but should be receiving it in around a week. Nice find, I found a center shafted Ping Cadence Tom Cat Heavy putter for a literal steal of a deal. I found someone selling Cleveland CG16 Tour irons 5-PW in black satin finish with a bag and this Ping Cadence putter for $130 CAD. I sold the irons, and THOUGHT I was going to sell the putter, until I putt with it... It's going to stick around as my bladed option. It came with an Odyssey headcover instead of a Ping one, that's the only drawback, but my daughters old shoe fits it like a glove, and I think it looks better. I can't leave well enough alone either, so I wrapped the shaft black, and added some vinyl teeth. I roll it well, but it was a little light for my taste as an everyday gamer. The Kinloch has a heavier head and bigger footprint which I’m excited about! I used the SeeMore kinda like a training aid for working on a less arced stroke. Gimmicky video, but SeeMore was originally suggested to me at a Club Champion fitting. When I went back some years later using the same gamer (white hot #7) my angle at impact was 0* every putt. Popular Post Byrnzee
I continue to be blessed by my buddy who works in the golf industry. He has sent me many products for free or insanely cheap in the past and this most recent shipment might be the best yet. A few weeks ago he sent me a picture of a Titleist U505 2-iron and asked if I'd be interested. I said absolutely without having to think twice. I currently have a G425 Crossover 2-iron in the bag, but I wasn't in love with it. Shaft was slightly too stiff for me and I didn't love the look at address. Meanwhile this U505 looks beautiful and has a Graphite Design Tour AD DI-85S shaft in it. I recently got a new 3-wood with a red Ventus Velocore shaft in it and it's been my new favorite club. I told him to keep an eye out for a Ventus blue driver shaft because if I'm hitting my 3-wood this good, I can only imagine it would help my driving too, right?! Long story short he found one, threw a ping tip on it and sent it out with the 2-iron above. The box arrived yesterday and I was very excited to get my hands on the new 2-iron and driver shaft. Then to my surprise, I opened the box and saw a bunch more extra gifts! He threw in a dozen golf balls including the new Callaway Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X balls, as well as some TaylorMade TP5s. He also included two brand new Titleist Players gloves in my size, a Titleist hat and last but definitely not least... a Greyson polo in my size. I'm over the moon and it feels like Christmas morning with all these new toys. Super excited to put the new driver shaft and 2-iron into play this weekend. Hoping they provide me with the results I'm expecting! Sheesh @Byrnzee.. we all need buddies like that! Lucky guy!
