Not bad for a novelty concept, special occasion type club.

But at that price, it's about 700 bucks to far out of my range lol.

Guess I'm more into the less flashy driver heads that won't distract me on my tee shot

I think it looks amazing but there's no way I'd pay that much for it (he says as he clicks add to cart just to see what it looks like in there). It would be an awesome conversation piece on the golf course.

I can show my pride on the course in many different ways for less than $800 for a driver that's a year old, new paint job and upgraded shaft that won't work for some. Don't get me wrong, I like and play Taylormade products, But at $800... FAIL...IMHO! Any new news on Taylormade being on the market?

I like the blue carbon in the head. But only in 9.5 and 10.5

I would consider this one, I saw it in my emails, I didn't look it up, but my guess is they wo t make it in LH so It doesn't matter if I would try it, and with that cost I really do t know anyone who would even look at it.

I think TM missed a real opportunity here. Let's set aside the high price tag for now. The driver isn't available until August 31. If they wanted to sell this thing, they should have debuted it after the US open in time so people could buy and show it off for the olympics. You can't capture olympic pride/spirit at the end of August. People will probably be thinking about holding off until 2017 to buy the next "more technologically advanced" driver.

Yeah true. You're right. I guess, at least for me, I don't really get that excited for the Ryder cup. Still stand by my assertion that olympic fever could have sold some drivers. Especially to rich folks who don't really care about golf that much but obviously buy cool toys in time for the olympics.

I'm shocked by the low price tag. I would have guessed at least $2500 for such a collectable. I guess with average salaries down these days in the 125K range people are finding it tough. I have a buddy looking to get his hands on 4-5 of these now at such great low prices. This is right up there with that SLDR-C, which I believe stood for champions edition.

It will be 5. He doesn't play on Tuesday or Wednesdays, so he'll be rotating each of the 5 drivers the rest of the days to preserve longevity. It's a know fact that tmag special editions are built to the highest and tightest specs and tolerances of any driver ever, so they're all anyone would ever want to play. Playing them too often though will cause a hook or draw bias in the long run, so it's recommended rotating to allow the faces to relax back open.

Bones was filling me in on all this. He also mentioned that due to the sensitivities of the materials, these drivers are not recommended for winter temps or extreme summer heat. Also it's bad to play them early in the 6am hours due to yellow sun or "golden hour" sun rays.
